This is the best Italian restaurant that I have been to in years. I wanted to go for a quick meal in the area and ventured to Pasticcio not long after I heard that it had opened. I was excited to find that they had a wide variety of Italian dishes that were reasonably priced on the menu. Then, I got my dinner and was even more pleased to find that the portions were large and delicious. My dinner was wonderful from beginning to end. I love the house dressing that I had with my salad. The Shrimp Marinara was excellent. Large shrimp, homemade marinara sauce, and pasta cooked to perfection. For dessert I chose the Tiramisu, which was extremely good as well. On top of great food, the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great food with great service.

Mamma Mia!

Talk about good food and good service! I attended with the party of 60- my second trip to Pasticcio. The first time was excellent, the second even better! The pizza is phenomenal. The chicken marsala was divine. Remo the owner is an excellent host. I would recommend this place to anyone asking for an authentic homecooked Italian meal!!

Couldn't ask for better!

I have visited this location twice on a long weekend ( I am from out of state ) and I could not ask for better food or more prompt and congenial service! On one occasion with a party of 9, I ordered a ravioli meal - everything was delicious. On the second occasion with a party of 60+, I choose a chicken parm meal. Again - everything was super! Common sense would tell one if there was going to be a "problem" it would occur with a large party! I have to say that I never even suffered from my traditional 'ah-geda" from tomato sauce. I would gladly make the three hour drive to eat such at such a great place and to enjoy being treated so well.

PASTICCIO'S-PLEASE COME TO NY!

We recently had a great party at Pasticcio!! Remo, the owner, was a terrific and very obliging host!! The home-cooked food was terrific! The shrimp entree was wonderful - it included large, succulent shrimp in pasta cooked to perfection! The sauce was light and delicious. Other people who sat with us commented on the great food and service. The friendly and extremely energetic staff could not do enough for us. Bravo Remo, chef and staff!! When are you opening in New York?

Great place if you like to be mistreated.

I’ve eaten at Pasticcio 2 times in the last month and had a mediocre experience each time. The first time my wife ordered a pasta dish with vegetables in red sauce and I ordered Chicken Marsala. The service was fair but we sort of expected that from a restaurant that had just recently opened. My wife’s meal was fair the vegetables were over cooked and the sauce was red and that was about it. My wife did not enjoy her meal. The Chicken Marsala was also fair and on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, compared to Macaroni Grill it was a 2. We gave Pasticcio’s a second chance a few weeks later and this time my wife ordered the Chicken Piccata and I ordered the Chicken Marsala again hoping that this time they would get it right. My wife found the Chicken Piccata to be just fair to ok, I was let down again to find that the Chicken Marsala was no better that the first time I ordered it. Last night we made plans to go out with friends who wanted to try the restaurant as they heard that it was good from some other friends. I told them we didn’t like it but we obliged them and figured it would be ok as we wanted to spend time with our friends. Well here’s where it gets juicy. Pasticcio’s does not take reservations for parties under six, but they will put your name on the wait list if you call when you are leaving your house. So we called when we left our house at 7 PM and the woman that answered the phone said that she would put us on the list. When we got to Pasticcio’s we found a crowd of people crammed in the waiting area. I felt confident that we were ok as we called ahead. As I pushed my way through the crowd to find the hostess I estimated around 40 or more people waiting to be seated. I found the hostess to verify my name was on the list and to see how long the wait was. I was shocked to find that my name wasn’t on the list and that the wait was an hour. As it turned out the crowd was angry as they all seemed to have the same problem. I noticed that about on third of the tables were empty and no one was getting seated. I told the hostess that I called ahead and I wanted to know why my name wasn’t on the list. She told me that I must have called another restaurant. At this point I became a bit angry at her tone and I motioned to my wife to come over to where I was standing. I asked my wife for her cell phone and I showed the hostess the record of the phone call. One of the wait staff came over and took over for the hostess. He became enraged and started shouting at my wife in front of the crowd of people waiting. He screamed at us to get out of the restaurant as his faced turned as red as their famous red sauce and then he turned and ran back to the kitchen. My wife and I got out of there as fast as we could. We waited outside for about 10 minutes for our friends to catch up with us. As we waited, we noticed about half of the crowd left with us. The last two people who came out told us not to waste our time as they had just gotten up from their table after waiting an hour for their food to come. My recommendation is not to waste your time and gas on Pasticcio’s.
