Very professional, friendly and had my metal fence put up quickly and at a great price. Highly recommend.

UPDATE 6/3/15: After filing a complaint with the BBB, the company came back out and repaired the gate, reattached the fencing to the posts in the areas where it had been blown down and re-attached poorly by my husband (who is, by no means, a fence builder), and reattached the warping boards. They continued to insist that the nail length used was standard nail size for the fence industry, which I have a hard time with, but nonetheless as long as the fence continues to hold up, I'll be satisfied.



Was originally impressed with the workmanship of our fence that was installed about a year and a half ago (half chain link fence, half privacy fence), although we did experience the same as another customer who paid the full price upfront and then had our scheduling pushed out for several days as other jobs came before ours. After about 6 months though we realized that the workmanship wasn't as good as we thought when a storm came thru and tore the entire front piece of our privacy fence right off the posts, while no one else in our neighborhood had any problems with their fencing during the storm. Turns out the problem was the nails used to attach the fence to the posts - there was only maybe a half inch of actual nail in the post itself, as if they had used nails that were too short for the job. When I called american fence to see if they could send someone out to repair the fence (and I called several times) I never once received a call back. My husband, who had just undergone surgery, ended up having to repair the fence himself - and we're talking a good 20 foot section of fence that was down, minimum. As time goes on and the wooden planks of the privacy fence all around are starting to pull away from the posts (or maybe the posts are warping away from the fence) I'm realizing that we ended up with shoddy workmanship on the privacy fence. 2 stars because the chain link fence seems to be holding up fine.

I scheduled an estimate for 42 feet worth of privacy fence, half on one side of the house, half on the other. After he wrote up the estimate I paid for the job in full and was told the following Tuesday someone would come out and set the posts, Wednesday they would build the fence. Its been 3 weeks now since that Tuesday, and my fence still isn't completed. One side is finished, but has a few split pickets, and a few pickets higher than the rest. The other side is supposed to have a walk through gate that hasn't been installed yet. There are posts in the ground, runners up, and the pickets are leaned up against the runners, no place for a gate. It has become obvious to me that because I prepaid for the job, I am not a priority.

Best fence; price, craftsmanship and professionalism.
