        The Fire Department serves and protects the lives, property and interests of the citizens and proprietors of the City of Peekskill. The department s fleet includes an aerial platform, utility vehicle, engines and paramedic fly cars. It has more than 200 volunteers and over 20 firefighters. The Fire Department has a team of captains, lieutenants, career supervisor and municipal training officer. It has more than 10 emergency medical technicians and paramedics. The department operates a fire police unit that works for traffic and crowd control and securing the fire scene. It additionally maintains a fire prevention committee that works for annual school fire drills and demonstrations. The Fire Department is operated by the City of Peekskill, which also maintains police, public works, administration, human resources and information technology departments. The Fire Department is located in Peekskill, N.Y.
