Felikians Carpet One Floor & Home

We had work done on a Condo we own. Carpet was installed in two rooms, hall way and stairs. The installer, by the name of Hector was an absolute artist. I know where the seams are, but I can't tell by looking at them. He came early and worked diligently through out the project. I have had other work done by another company, but the quality was not even close to this.

I had a terrible experience with Felikian's Carpet One. I found this company through State Farm as they are one of State Farm's "Preferred Providers." In fact, I was told that Felikian's was one of their "best" flooring contractors, a sentiment that was echoed by several of the other subcontractors associated with my insurance claim. Unfortunately my experience did not match these reviews.



To make a very long, difficult and painful story short I had SEVERAL problems:



-- The installers smoked in my home.



-- The installers consumed some of the contents of my refrigerator without my permission.



-- The installers wrote a phone number on my patio furniture.



-- When removing the existing flooring, the installers punched a hole in my kitchen cabinets with a jackhammer.



-- The hole ended up being incidental as the installers did not adequately cap-off the water supply line to the dishwasher so it leaked for approximately two weeks while other repairs were being done. This caused mold in my cabinets and my kitchen walls...both of which had to be removed. Ultimately it took over 2 months to repair all of the damaged caused by the leak.



-- My existing floor had a subfloor that the installers tore out but didn't replace (I am not sure why it wasn't replaced, I assume it was an accident that it didn't get included in the work order????). There was a height differential between the new floor and the doors, door jambs etc. It cost roughly $2200 to fix the problems associated with the differential.



-- The white grout in my bathroom was not sealed, nor was all of the grout residue removed from my tile. So, when I go to wash the tile water absorbs into the tile and leaves dark areas in the tile. These last approx. 5 hours until the tile dries out.



-- These are most of the major issues but there were plenty of other problems associated with this job.



To be fair, after several weeks of negotiation between State Farm, Felikian's and the general contractor, Felikian's ultimately paid for all of the repairs associated with the water leak from the dishwasher.



This being said, I wish I had never set foot in Felikian's Carpet One as the entire experience was one of the most upsetting and frustrating of my life.

They do not return calls and contact is almost impossible.

I have had such a great exoerience with this company. They have great products, employees and most important of all service. They took care of us from A-Z.
