Larry Schafer & Grandson Contractor Inc

I used Larry Schafer & Grandson to put a new roof my home and detached garage. Working with them was a pleasant experience. I always received prompt and courteous responses when I had questions. I have no problem recommending their work to my friends and family members. I would definitely use them in the future.

Home projects on a older home (100 yrs) can be quite adventurous. One thing I have found with contractors is that, what they promise and what they deliver are two separate things, except with Schafer and GS. I used quite a few contractors for various projects, and (up until Schafer and GS) I never knew what I was going to get. Every time a project started there was always a catch with "your house is old and we have to do......". Not Schafer and GS. He did what he promised, no compromises, and the work is fantastic. (I've had them do replacement windows then asked them back for some deck work.) And probably later this year, siding... They were punctual, always cleaned at the end of the day (which is important when you have little ones) and extremely easy to talk to. Keep up the good work guys...

Grandson came out for an estimate and we were thrilled to be working with him. The communication lagged until he dropped us/our project completely. Hope there was no family emergency, otherwise he should have told us where things stood or notified us that he would not be doing the job. My door and window project will sit for another year - sigh. Completely disappointing and ultimately unprofessional, especially after all the good things we had heard about the company.

They did an excellent job replacing my windows. The follow up and promptness in responding is to be commended. Highly recommend this company and I will be using them again when I decide to replace my roof.

Grandson came out for an estimate and I guess he didn't want to do the job because he never called me back :(
