I wish no stars was an option. What a horrible company with horrible service and poor quality product delivery. Asked for an bid for a 10x12 deck, with it being 10ft along my home. Accepted their offer and was told contract and such would be emailed. Never received and I have asked multiple times.

Built the deck the wrong dimensions, and submitted plans incorrectly. Didn't even build deck to the plans they submitted. Ordered a permit, and FAILED to pay for or pick up permit. Luckily the county is working to get the permit for me to purchase so I can get an inspection and list off all the violations.

When they built the deck with the wrong dimension, they blocked my dryer vent, access to my sprinkler box and to my outdoor water faucet. The deck is warped, stairs are unsafe and the boards on the surface are buckling. They can't own their service.

Their employees even trespass, he used a ladder to climb my 6ft fence, to gain access to my deck to work on it after he was told not to. My gates are locked. I wouldn't trust this company to build my neighbors annoying dog and outdoor dog house. Find someone else!

Who knew getting a new roof and gutters would require no effort or concern!?! I was able to get an appointment within a few days, Daniel came out and did a full inspection and showed me all the pictures that showed damage. He went through the process with me since it was my first roof. I picked out my colors and then a few days later I was given a call to ensure a date worked for me. The crew was pleasant and clean. I was worried about nails since I've heard horror stories from neighbors in the past with new roofs but they did several sweeps and I never found one nail. I would definitely use them again and have already referred! Since we live in Storm Central - I'm sure I will be calling them soon.

Overall

Working with A2O Contracting was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.

I called them for an estimate to replace the stairs on my deck.

Daniel Gonzalez came out and promised me the world. They were going to do everything right.

He gave me the cheapest estimate, so I made the mistake of signing a contract with him.

When he brought the contract over, I noticed that it was VERY vague about how they were going to do the work.

I read the contract through line by line. It stated that the contract supersedes any prior agreement.

I made changes to the contract and had him initial it before I signed it.

When they did the work, they didn't have a permit. They didn't do the work according to code.

They also didn't do it to the terms of the contract. I made them get a permit, but they got one for a fix, and not for a structural change as they are required by the city to do.

Robert Latshaw, Daniel's partner, left the company in September, 2014. When he did, their contractor's license became invalid. They did nothing to get a new license until January, despite my repeated requests to see proof that they had a license.

Robert felt that the work was finished, and tried to get me to pay the second half of the bill. I refused, and in almost no time, Daniel came out and tried to B.S. his way out of my concerns. He threw the IBC (International Building Code) in my face. So I went and read it. It actually refers to the Residential Code, so I read that. They had numerous violations.

They did not use proper fasteners. They didn't bolt down the footers. They used prefabricated footers, instead of pouring them. They used screws, instead of the required bolts. They put a block of wood under a footer, instead of putting in a prefabricated footer. The list goes on and on.

He lied numerous times during that conversation.

I tried for 8 months to get them back out here. They wouldn't answer my calls so, on December 11th, I called the office until the answering service picked up. I hung up and called back again.

I did that repeatedly, until someone would answer the phone. They had a problem with me doing that. That was a pretty small sin compared to what they have done.

I had to communicate through email.

Finally, they agreed to come out and fix the work on March 23rd.

Well, the 23rd came and went, and nothing. To this day, the work remains unfinished, and they won't answer my calls or respond to my emails.

When I call the office, I get a message that the line is temporarily out of service.

When I call Daniel's cell, he won't answer. I get his voice mail, but I get a message that his mail box is full, and I cannot leave him a message.

I have made 3 complaints to the Attorney General's office, but it does NO good.

If they ever do come back to fix it, I'd be more than happy to update this review. If I haven't done that, then their work is still unfinished. Don’t let him tell you any different.

Believe me, there's more work left to be done now then there was to begin with. They aren't coming back.

They have put more time into dodging my calls then they have into my stairs.

I wouldn't let these guys build me a bird house. These guys suck!

If I had it to do over, I would hire anybody else!

I wouldn't even give them one star if it were a choice.
