Courtyard by Marriott

I prefer Marriott hotels when traveling, however, I willl never stay at this location again. I booked my stay throught Hotels.com,(Expedia), and reserved a room with two queen beds and "Stay for Breakfast'. This is the room type I frequently book at Marrriott. Before going to breakfast, I checked with the front desk to see if I needed anything to show that I had the "stay for breakfast', and was told "No, just tell the server". When presented with the bill, I told the server AND wrote it on the bill. Instead of checking the info, I was billed for $30.29 for 2 adult and 1 youth breakfast. I called the hotel when I saw the charges to my credit card and spoke with Frank Rodriguez. He told me they had no way to know that I had booked that type of reservation because Expedia never let's them know the information. In every other instance where I have made this same tlype of booking, I have never had any problems. The overcharge caused other items on my account not to clear and added NSF charges against my account. I had to e-mail both my booking confirmation and details of my bank account,(which I was less than comfortable doing for security reasons), in order to request the overcharge to be returned.

as I have never encountered this problem in the past, I place all blame for the situation with the Oxnard hotel itself. As I have booked 97 nightly stays in the past 2 1/2 yrs through Hotels.com, many with Marriott, I feel I am an experienced traveler and am able to judge this situation fairly.
