Here is my horror story! 2 year old bike at the time! it went in for a minor fork seal leak & simple tire/tube change. I was charged over 450 bucks and I had provided the tire. I trailered the bike home and the seal was leaking worse then when it was dropped it off. Also a new leak, all the front break fluid leaked out on my garage floor over night. I brought the bike back via trailer he said the seals failed in the break and said the new replaced leaking seal is because i compressed the bike to much on the trailer, he insisted he did not damage the brake seal when doing the tire swap so charged me a couple hundred more. i took the bike back and within 30 days and 65 street miles both fork seals and the break seal were leaking, the replaced front tire would loose pressure three times over the period. I had took a closer look at the star bolts and it looked like a flat head driver was hammered into them to remove them and a couple of the male star bolts were rounded over ( vice grips?). there were also shroud screws missing. the topper of the quality of this persons work were the flat pieces of lead he wrapped around the spokes to balance the front tire tacky enough but they slid up and down the spokes. Rather then giving this shop the chance to rectify the problem a third time brought the bike to the dealership and am spending about 700 dollars to un do the damage and use ome parts. Go here good luck! there is a ready speech when you complain and it consists of the other 400 customers love us! go to here and you may listen to the story after your repair is done also! GOOD LUCK!

Don't Waste Your Time

Long story, but here it is. My father, Rick, got some new Kuryakyn grips and Kuryakyn Silver Bullet riding lights (the kind I have) for Christmas. My husband called Bikers Bay in DeLand and asked how much to have them installed. I was told $1...05.

Rick called on Tuesday and wanted to schedule the work. He was told to bring the bike in Wed morning, and it would be ready by the end of the day.

Rick arrived at 10:30 Wed. Bikers Bay was supposed to open at 9:00, but no one was there. He went to run some errands and get lunch, and he called periodically. Finally, at 12:30, the owner showed up. He apologized for being late and said to bring the bike.

Rick drops off the bike and goes home. A few hours later, he gets a call that the lights had the wrong brackets. So, Rick says he'll go back to J&P first thing in the morning, get the right brackets, and drop them off.

He does this Thurs morning, and he's hoping that the grips are done and maybe even the wiring for the lights is done, so that all that remains is installing the brackets. When he arrives at Bikers Bay, the bike hasn't been touched.

Rick is told that the work will be done by the end of Thurs. So, he goes home.

At 4:00, he gets a call from the owner saying the mechanic wants to go home early, so the bike won't be done till the next morning. He's told that the owner will call him by noon when the work is done.

Friday noon comes and goes. So, Rick calls and there's no answer. We drive over there and the place is closed. But right after we get there, the owner drives up. His explanation is that he got arrested the night before and spent the night in jail.

It's now 1:00 and the only work done on the bike is one grip is installed. Rick says to just put the other grip on, give him back the lights, and he'll pay for what's been done. The owner says to come back at 2:00.

We come back at 2:00, and the owner says that the mechanic came in, so they're installing the lights now, and it will be another 15 minutes.

Oh, and the job was a little different than what they expected, so it's $150, not $105. But, as a way of apologizing, the owner gives Rick a 15% off coupon for his next visit.
