Criminal Defense
I have been a lawyer since 1986, after graduating from University of La Verne College of Law as one of the most awarded students in their history. For years I practiced criminal defense exclusively, serving as Assistant Managing Attorney for the Citrus Alternate Defenders representing adults in criminal court. Since 1993 I have served as Managing Attorney for the Pomona Juvenile Defenders, a group that Los Angeles County contracts to represent minors in Juvenile Delinquency Court. Through years of defending undocumented people in criminal court, I have become well versed in the complexities of the immigration consequences of criminal cases. I branched into immigration because I saw a need for honest and competent representation in immigration matters. I decided to establish a law office that would make people feel comfortable and not intimidated; an office they could trust with their immigration cases.
