Pitch Pizzeria -West Omaha

This one deserves 'the whole, story' .... Made plans to meet at West O "Pitch" .. bartender seemed not pleased to be serving us (5 of us gathered at the bar at one point) although he enjoyed a taste of drink he was mixing then continued mixing the drink then poured it into a glass then served it .. everyone got over that, or have we. Went ahead and Ordered meatballs & truffle fries. The "meat balls had a distinctive odd taste, I asked to see the manager. He approached started off by acting shocked to hear a complaint, saying he's never heard one in 5 years, immediately became defensive and attitude grew quickly. I had to disagree there being zero complaints beings I owned a business in the same industry. (Complaints are just a part of the industry, period) ... He said he'll take it off my ticket, to get it at the bar when I leave. Leaving, walked up to the bar to get the money back, the manager approached again, said he changed his mind, that there were "3 meatballs eaten" (when actually there were two on the plates he cleared and one was cut in half also on the plate and the other half eaten) .. I began to explain, he wanted no part of any explaination nor conversation about the complaint. He started loudly questioning my name and the name of my business, he then stood in front of everyone (3 of us left) and started googling it. I asked to see him upfront. I suggested next time a complaint comes in to just handle it and let it go, that not everyone has the same tastes, that perhaps it was just this order or/batch, etc.. He continually shook his head "no" then he said "same batch same food you wanna come in the kitchen to see for yourself, you're in the biz you know what to look for, etc, do you have any idea how many I sell, I hundreds of pounds of them a week".. etc... I said "we'll good, All I needed was my money that you offered" he said "and what more do you want" I said "what?? I didn't ask for anything more!!!?? ... I turned around & began to leave, he then said "and you don't need to come back" I said "over meat balls"??? One of my guests interrupted "he's kicking you out over meat balls???"" He then turned to my guests, said "you can come back but "she (me) is no longer allowed" ... Bottom line is this; if they handle a complaint this way, by barring those who do, then you as a business leave no redemption possibilities for yourself , do you. What makes 'word of mouth' happen quickly... great management or poor management... we'll see.
