Chateau Bayou Apartments

DONT MOVE IN! Especially military! I moved in April 2012 while my husband was in tech school for the Air Force. The first week I was here I received a complaint about my dog barking. She's a dog and they allow pets so I figured they would understand that dogs...BARK?! A few weeks later I received a complaint about where I took my dog outside to use the bathroom. This location was not even on their property and I always clean up after her. Another couple weeks went by and I received another complaint about my dog barking. What was I suppose to do while I was working?! If your not too crazy about ROACHES, this isn't ur place either. I found sewer roaches (big outside ones) and small roaches in my place. Now it is time for my husband and I to go to our next assignment. Because of hurricane isaac however my husband got his orders only a week ago (which prevented us from putting a 30 day notice in as the apts require) I was under the impression that our rent would be prorated and that they would be understanding but I was wrong. After begging and pleading with the manager she was still going to make us pay the full amount. After explaining our financial situation and telling her we wouldn't be able to pay until Sept 15 she reassured me that I would have until 30 days after our notice was put in to pay. So I felt a little better. THEN 3 days later I get a notice saying they're charging me 100$ late fee bc my rent was late. She never told me this when I said id be late. Although I did sign the agreement I thought they'd be a bit more understand. So now I'm out rent 100 and left with a horrible memory of this
