YES! I'm so glad they've shut down. They made their own bed now they get to sleep in it. Crime doesn't pay and these crooked bastards got what they deserve. these guys wont even give me a simple price over the phone for 1 box of 22lr. and their rude about it. told me to come down and c for myself. I live in another town like I wanna waste my gas for some crazy price im sure they charge cause they know you'll pay it if you end up driveing all they way out there. will never shop with these guys and will tell everyone I know, how rude they are.
I forgot to add to this review. I foolishly didn't listen to my own instincts and went down there anyways just to find out they were astronomical prices, and even ruder in person. Not to mention liars. I think it's time to report them to the better business bureau. I just looked over my yp app account and was reading my old reviews. I saw more current reviews that didn't shock me but will force me to act on behalf of these fellow good citizens that don't deserve this treatment. Do these guys think there god. Someone needs to put them in there place.

Steve Brack is a Liar and thief. Don't do business with this guy. He stole a hundred dollars from me. Took my deposit for something I was looking for in 2011, and then never called, never returned a call from me. Tried to call recently and he denied remembering the event, and since the bottom of the receipt I have says "no refunds no exceptions", I have no recourse. Just beware of this gun shop. Steve Brack is a thief. That simple.

My husband & I were vendors at a gun show in Sonora, Ca. in Oct 4 & 5. First, the gun show was a great show, now to the owner of this store.



On Sunday morning he was backing his truck down a ramp so at the end of the show he could load his guns up and leave. I tried stop him and ask him to back his trailer in straight so other people could also load there merchandise out at the same time. He stopped, got out of his truck and asked me what I had said to him, I tried to explain to him that he was backing in crooked so no one else could get out. His reply to me was I was just like every other woman I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about.



My husband was thinking about doing business with this man at one time but after we read the reviews on YELP about how he treats his customers we have had nothing to do with this business. The owner (Steve) also yelled at me about not wanting to do business with him, that my husband & I had misrepresented ourselves to him. He told me that I had been to his store several time. I have never even stepped foot in this man's store, and I never will. I would never be associated with anyone that lies to customers that come to his store. LADIES, DO YOU WANT TO BUY FROM A MAN THAT THINKS YOU ARE STUPID AND DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!



One of his employees was at the show with him, this man apologized to me for the way his boss was acting. He said, that sometimes he was a little gruff, but being rude has no excuse.



Would I do business at this store. NO WAY!!

Steve the owner Oakdale gun and ammo I did some work in front of his gun shop and he ask if we could do it on credit he gave me $350 credit at the shop I picked a gun out when I went to pick it up next week he had sold it to somebody else. Then when I went try to collect by getting ammunition he got mad and said I waited too long after he had just called me last week to say he had a gun safe he wanted me to take for the credit. he tried to give just $100 hundred dollars worth a ammunition and I replied that was not right He told me to get out. Then he put his hand in his jacket and said just give me a reason give me a reason I replied back you would shoot me for what I am unarmed and just asking for you to pay for the work I did and a again he said your giving me a reason I felt like he was a loose cannon!! This all happened 11:30 a.m. On the 27th of February this guy is dangerous it should not even own a gun let alone a gun shop!!!!!! scary!! now I have read the other reviews WOW this guy should be in jail and he owns a gun shop every one in Oakdale knows he is a crook!! beware and be car full!!! he is a coward with a gun and a screw loose

I recently purchased a glock 26 from here.i should have checked prices before.They charged me $135.00 more than other local dealersThat part of this is my fault.Whats not is the fact that Manuel told me that he thought these guns came with one clip.I told him you need to check on that,because glock states they come with two.After my waiting period I went to pick it up and there was one clip with the gun.i asked about it and he told me I would have to talk to the owner, that it was out of his hands.He offered to sell me another clip.So they basicly took mine and tried to sell it back to me.The owners manual states there are two.I told manuel I wasn't going to talk to the owner about it,but I would never come back and also tell everyone I can what a pathetic place this is.I recently talked to a couple dealers and they both said they don't know how this guy stays in business.I gave this one star only because I had to give it something to complete it.

This is a true event that happened today. I left a deposits last month on a glock 23c. So two weeks ago they call me and tell me my guns ready. When I get down there it's the wrong gun. They tried to push it off on me and I told them no I didn't want it and they seemed upset and there were giving me a hard time about it. So I told them to call me when they get the right gun. I was not happy and felt I was being overcharged. I went to barn wood arms a reputable gun dealer in ripon ca and bought the same gun for 140 cheaper. That's when I found out I was being ripped off. Oakdale guns and amo was charging me 699 for a glock 23 c over a hundred dollars more than the going price. So I went back to oakdale g and amo and they were trying to tack on 30 dollars more that's 730 dollars. When I told them I wasn't going to be bent over like that the taller gent told me to get the f?$ k out jumped over the counter and put his hands on me. He must be used to bullying people. He tried to say he's a federal agent. Stay away listen to this warning. I am taking him to court over this. I have read on other reviews that this won't be the first time. I wish I didn't have to give that store 1 star should be 0 no star. Good luck I will leave another feed back after I take him to court he kept my deposit too. :(

this place is a huge rip off. 1st off their guns are way overpriced! almost $200 more then bass pro shop or dicks sporting goods. my fault for not checking prices elsewhere 1st. i would have seen there one of the highest prices around. but thats not the worst part! when i bought my gun from oakdale gun and ammo they told me they would throw in a free oiling on the gun, well when i picked up my gun they said they had to charge me for a can of oil, they said they used a full can on my gun, really?lol. when they made the deal they said it was free, i just wanted to get my gun and said i would pay it and asked how much? told me the oil was $10 so i gave them my debit card and they swiped it and tried to sneak a $20.00 charge (double the price) on my card but i caught it before i accepted it on the key pad, i asked why are u charging me double and the guy said he messed up and charged me for the wrong oil. really?? they dont even have a $20.00 can of oil. be very careful with this place they are shady and will try to scam you for more money. and they are way overpriced and have horrible service .. really wish i would have read these other reviews on here first because this place is a rip off and i will never buy from them again. save big money and buy elsewhere like bass pro or dicks sporting goods way cheaper and no shady double charges and lies with false promises

When someone asks if you have something over the phone dont tell them they have to come in to find out. I dont care how sparce ammo is, thats just stupid.

I brought a rifle into Oakdale Guns & Ammo to sell on consignment and kept in contact with the owner Steve Brack on a regular basis and on my last visit Mr. Brack informed me that I had abandoned my rifle at his store, and that he had sold it and I was not going to receive payment for the rifle. I took him to small claims court and got a judgement against him and never collected anything. I am not the only person who has had the same thing happen to them. Be safe and stay away from Oakdale Guns& Ammo!
