Dr. Vierling has been providing retinal care to patients in the Chicagoland area since 1995, after she completed her fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. She founded Suburban Retina, Ltd. in 2004, with the goal of providing state of the art care to patients with diseases of the retina and vitreous in a compassionate and comfortable environment. She serves as a clinical assistant professor at Loyola University and is active in teaching medical and surgical retina to ophthalmology residents from Loyola University. She resides in Elmhurst, with her husband, Tim, a physician with the Women’s Center for Health in Naperville, and their two sons.
