Carpet One

Our carpet was showing wear and very hard to clean so we decided to replace it with hardwood floors. We knew very little about hardwood floors and were uncertain about which type to go with.

We like to use a locally owned company for any home repairs or improvements as we feel we can trust and communicate with on a more personal basis.

Akel's Carpet One impressed us with their television ads because we knew the owner would stand behind his business when he changed the name from Carpet One to Akel's Carpet One.

We visited the N. Little Rock store and the sales rep was very helpful in determining exactly what we needed and what we liked as far as appearance, durability and cost.

The sales rep came to our home that day and gave us a quote and proposal for the job. We felt the cost was very reasonable for the amount of square feet of flooring and we proceeded with the project. The job was started in a timely manner and all details were as the sales rep stated. The installers displayed professionalism and excellence during the installation and answered all my questions as they came up.They moved and replaced each piece of furniture with great care. They were a team of two that worked like a team of four !

Our new floor is beautiful and makes our home warm and inviting. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process from start to finish and would recommend them to anyone wanting a reasonably priced quality flooring for your home.

When I placed my order with Carpet One, I told them I needed to save money for three months before they started the installation. I started getting bills right away and had to make payments before they ever started the work. When they did the work, they tiled in front of my dishwasher, and now that it is broken, I cannot get it out. For over a year I have had to do without a dishwasher because the only way to get it out is to break out the tiles. They also messed up my upstairs toilet so that now it leaks into my living room and damaged an antique table. I have had three plumbers out, and one of them suggested I call a leak detection company to see if maybe the installers drilled a screw into my pipe since they knew they sealed the toilet and it still leaked. I have spent $500 on trying to get this toilet working properly, when it worked fine before my floors were installed. They also put wood floors over a raised area in my hallway, and now the floor bends when that area is walked on. They didn't put end caps on my tile floors in the kitchen, so there is an ugly edge in the doorway that has dried mortar oozing out. I have not been able to get them to finish the job or address any of these issues, and have just given up.
