Brick Master

We also used Brickmaster(Tod) to help with a remodel on our house. I have worked with a number of subs and this is one to avoid. Work and attention to detail were extremely poor on a very basic stone job. Very nice people until you ask them to correct their mistakes. After one attempt at a redo they made things worse. Obviously, they are not able to do the job and we will now have to pay someone else to come in and tear out what has been done so that it can be done correctly. Miserable experience and lots of money lost. Tod fooled us into thinking he would do an awesome job and make anything right if there was a problem. The talk is a lot better than the work.

We used Brickmaster to repair our house. They were supposed to match the existing mortar and re-lay a portion of the front corner of the house. They did a good job repairing the front but the mortar colors are different from the first day’s work to the next. We now have three colors of mortar on our house. On one area of the house the mortar was smeared over the bricks and not tooled (pointed) like it should have been and some areas were totally missed. The owner asked for 2/3 of the cost for repair upfront and didn't show up like he said he would until we called him. They did some good work but it was not consistent and we didn’t think we were paying for just good enough.

Brickmaster recently repaired a damaged brick wall for me, and I am totally happy with the job. Prompt response, reasonable quote, speedy service, and excellent workmanship. On top of it all, Todd Robinson is very easy to work with.

Would not hesitate to call on him again.

I didn't want to write this review at first, but I have two concerns with this company. The first is that they ask for money upfront (no other company does that to my knowledge) and then take months to show up. The first job they completed here was great. No problems. The second was an extension that began to fall apart within a few weeks. I called them quite a few times and the owner tried to tell me I had driven on it too soon. Sorry, but I had merely followed his instructions and waited even longer than he suggested. He was evidently responding to all these other requests for work and could not come back to repair what was cracking and breaking in front of my house. In addition, one little thing they did was to remove some rocks from my flower beds to work on part of the project when I had showed them rock in the back yard that they could use. They did put them back when I asked but all in all, the second time around was not positive. He might do great work but good luck getting him back in case there are problems.

Wow! Came the same day I called him asking fort a quote. Very friendly and seems like an all around nice guy. He came when he said he would and came back to finish the job after it had set for a week just like he said he would. I wish other businesses would take lessons from him. I can't say enough good things and his price was very reasonable compared to another quote. He built a mailbox for us and we just told him how we what we wanted and he did it just right. I'm a happy customer.

I recently had to have my mailbox replaced due to being destroyed by a teenager. Mr. Robinson did a terrific job plus put a concrete step in for me. Very reasonable and easy to communicate with. His get-back with his customers skill is excellent.

I called this company because they had all A ratings on Angie's list. They were very professional and their work was wonderful. I would recommend this business highly. They do all kinds of brick and concrete work. You will not be disappointed.
