Arkansas Pediatric FACILITY is a residential facility for multihandicapped children...NOT a walk in clinic! Wrong business for which to write these reviews

We were told our appt was at 0930 but after we had sat for 45 mins we were told that it was actually 1010. They told us 0930 because we needed time to do paperwork they said. All 5 minutes of it !! No way apologetic or polite. My son was seen at 1035. Customer service is severely lacking here.

I believe this clinic to be solely dedicated to government assisted insurance. My sons have been going to this clinic since birth, and will no longer go there. They are 10 and 7. After ten years, we will find another pediatrician. Just this week my son got a rock stuck in his ear, and I took him to one of the doctors here. I arrived for my 1:50 appointment at 1:42. I was told after a few minute wait that our insurance was canceled as of April 15th. I called the insurance company, and was told that they had an audit, and anyone who did not send the paperwork back was canceled. They told me what to send in, and said they would go back to April 15th to pay any outstanding balances. The clinic refused to see my son unless I made full payment for the office visit, which was $70. I told them that I did not have any money on me at the time, could they please just bill be. I explained to them that we had been going there for the last ten years, and I had never owed any past due amount for anything. That did not help. Not knowing what to do, I allowed them to charge the amount to my credit card. We were called back to the exam room where we waited for approx. an hour on the doctor to arrive. My husband then called from home and said that he spoke with the insurance company, and they reinstated our son's card so he could be seen. I went back up to the receptionists desk and asked them to try the card again. They did, and it worked, it had been reinstated. I asked them to put the amount back on my credit card, since his insurance card worked. They did so. However, after standing for about three minutes at the receptionist desk, waiting for them to finish, I was told that the people in the back didn't know I was up there, and had given my room away. No child was called back while I was standing there. She said they no longer had any rooms available for my son. After spending about two hours at the clinic, we left with the rock still in my son's ear. I then went to my mother's house, got a flashlight and an earpick, and got the rock out myself, which is what I should have just done in the first place. I was treated very rudely by the fresh out of high school receptionists. After ten years of going to the same pediatrician, we were merely a number, nothing else. They would not see my son, and were completely unsympathetic. I believe this is due to all the Medicaid patients they see. Even upon entering it is almost like you are in a state office of sorts. Not one of the doctors could pick my children out of a lineup due to the extreme high volume of patients. On that day there were approximately three people in the entire office waiting to be seen. I am still somewhat shocked by how we were treated, and being turned away. I would not recommend this office to anyone, not only because of how we were treated on that particular day, but also because there is no familiarity with the doctors. They see so many children, that your child is just a dollar amount, and that is it.
