HONEST, FRIENDLY & TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!!! I needed new tires but wasn't able to purchase them right away. Terry kept me updated with special offers and rebates, was flexible with my schedule and had me in and out quickly. This is one of the longest standing, locally owned auto repair shops in North Liberty. If you're looking for a mechanic that's down to earth and who will shoot you straight, visit Terry for your next repair or preventative maintenance!

In a bad place

I got myself in a bad spot one day trying to help a friend out of a ditch . I called North Liberty Towing to try to undo my mess. Chad from nltowing arrived on the scene and assesed the situation. He winched out my pickup and at no extra cost pulled out my friends honda. Not a bad deal I say. Very polite, fast servce at a resonable price.

Excellent Work and VERY Respectful Customer Service!

I have a daughter that lives in NL that has used NL Auto several times. She has been treated amazing and with much respect! I came to town to visit and noticed a coolant leak on my vehicle. With her past experience she insisted that North Liberty Auto could fix my car last minute. I ended up getting my car in and back for service that same day. Terry was the gentleman that pleasantly helped me. With my surprise he assured me I would have it back by the close of the day. When I found out how expensive the repairs were, I requested my failed parts to take home to my mechanic from my home town. Terry boxed them up after taking atleast 15 minutes to explain and show me what he had repaired. When I left Terry made me feel like he appriciated my business and truely cared about my saftey on my trip home. Upon my return home I decided to stop by my local mechanic's business and have him look things over. I showed him the the box parts, and receipt. He couldn't believe that I was able to get those repairs done in one day for that cost. He said a waterpump job on that car usually takes him all day, and maybe he should look it over. I agreed, and decided to wait. After about 20 minutes of inspection Bob lowered the car back off the hoist and returned to the office shaking his head. To my surprise he said " Bonny, I can't believe the outstanding job they did! I see everything done perfectly." I was very pleased to say the least after being worried of the cost and not knowing who to trust so far away from my home town. Months have passed and my car is doing great, so I wanted to let their community know how wonderful they are at North Liberty Auto!

One star is way too generous- don't waste your time or money

This place is sooo rediculous. We took our truck in because of front end issues. They quote after looking at it, then "find" extra needed repairs as they are doing the work. Problem is, even more things creep up after the initial repairs...all in the same area as the parts that were worked on. They have done this to us twice (I know, shame on us) but they are so slick, make you think the repairs NEED to be done NOW- then the bill doubles before it's all said and done. They said the brakes needed done- they were in really bad shape. I asked specifically if I could do it cheaper myself. They said no, because they would do it and not charge labor- what they don't mention is that the parts are twice as much, and we were charged labor ANYWAY. I could have done it for $130, they charged me $235 plus labor. They like to get you on the phone, get an ok, then have a hayday racking up the bill.

You can be silly like us- give them another chance, and take them at their word, or you can run as fast as you can (which you just might be stuck doing once they are done screwing with your car).

First of all, I have no idea who this is or why you couldn't stop in with complaints in person. And secondly, $235 brake job with quality-name brand CERAMIC pads and NEW ROTORS on a truck sounds cheap. That's about $300 with labor. I'm sure you can go to AutoZone, etc and buy cheap pads + rotors for $130. Let's compare apples to apples here. If you have an issue please stop in!! We strive to be honest/fair and take pride in quality service. Thank You

Loyal Customer?

Customer

The entire time we had a car in for work, we felt as if they were put off by the issue. It was as if we were bothering them with our business. I have been in the customer care busniss for over 10 years and this is definately not a way to gain loyal customers. Remember that you should never lecture a customer, not just once but several times. It is a good thing to keep the customer up to date on a situation, not put off by a simple phone call. If you say the job will be complete by a certain day, don't wait several more days and not tell the customer. Not recommended!
