Carmatic Transmission

I originally went to Car-Matic transmission at 3111 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. because they were highly recommended by my mechanic who I trust very much. I've always heard so many bad stories about transmission places, but this story has a very nice ending. Dave at Car-Matic is a very nice person to deal with. After fully checking out my transmission, he called and explained exactly what had to be done and why. He explained everything in a way that I could really understand, so I felt confident in allowing him to go forward with the repairs. Now my transmission shifts beautifully. Car - Matic has always been faithful to me and my mother and other people I have sent to them always did a great job on previous cars or trucks we have had in the past. Now I am sending another old truck to them and I know they will treat me right because of past experiences with them. Thank you very much car matic keep up the great work.

just everything great about this company, had them rebuild my transmission in my 95 Z28 made some upgrades got it for a great price and the service was great, would recommend this to everyone I know and will go there again if I need some transmission work

Awful worst money I ever spent having a car repaired 1966 mustang Leaked fluid took it to them to stop the leak they said it needed to be rebuilt, they installed the wrong torque converter and wanted me to pay for their mistake also cracked my bell-housing had it welded and wanted to charge me for that on top of everything else it still leaks and now you have to juggle the shifter to start it, didn't have to do that before they didn't stand by anything would never do business there again, I probably should have sued them but its too late now lesson learned stay away
