La Hacienda of New York Restaurant

Perfect old world Italian food! My favorite was the pizza, with the crust done just so and the little pepperonis that get nice and crisp edges that curl up. The salad was wonderful, and our server told us it is the owner's personal secret assortment of spices and even the employees don't know the recipe. My daughter ordered spaghetti which at first I thought was unadventurous, but it reminded me of the spaghetti our Italian neighbor used to make and share with us when I was growing up, and I thought that was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our pizza so much that we ordered a second one to take home - and home is Michigan! We froze it, put it in our cooler and took it back with us. It was great after a bit of time in our oven the next day!

is awesome! But the owner wanted to charge me for a second cup of coffee when my daughter took a sip when her drink was all gone. He was rude and was unprofessional to say the least. I wont tell people to eat there like I used to. I wouldnt want them to deal with the owners selfishness and rudeness like I did. Oh by the way my daughter was 3 years old at the time and wanted to just taste the coffee. The owner told me he would call the police if I didnt pay for another cup of coffee. Sounds like great customer service..... NOT!

I've always liked this restaurant. The food is good as well as the service. This restaurant has been around as long as I can remember so other must feel the same way.
