Recognized as being one of the finest microsurgical training centers in the world, the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute is a state-of-the-art working laboratory designed by clinicians for clinicians. Developed by Drs. Sheets & Paquette in 1997, the Institute was established as a result of the techniques and skills Drs. Sheets & Paquette developed in the field of microscopy in restorative dentistry. They discovered that working with enhanced magnification and illumination not only allows the clinician to maintain optimum posture but also greatly enhances the ability to accurately assess and provide treatment that benefits the patient.

Dr. Wu is on the Executive Council for Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics and Immediate Past-President for Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. She was a Board member of the Orange County Dental Society in 2011 and Senior Delegate in 2012. Currently, Dr. Wu is Partner in the Sheets, Paquette and Wu Dental Practice and on faculty with the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute, a non-profit international teaching and research center. She is also actively involved with several research projects on dental implants and materials, published articles in several dental journals, and Editor of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics.

Dr. Cherilyn Sheets is an educator, clinician, author and lecturer, both nationally and internationally. She is Co-Executive Director of the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute, an international non-profit teaching and research center. She is also a Clinical Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the USC School of Dentistry and is on their Board of Councilors. Dr. Sheets is a Past President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American Association of Women Dentists. She is also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Academy of Dentistry International, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry. She received the 2002 Gordon Christensen Award for Excellence in Lecturing, the 2004 USC School of Dentistry Alumnus of the Year Award, and the 2006 Section of Honor Award (Distinguished Dentist Award) from the California Section of the Pierre Fauchard International Honor Dental Academy. Dr. Sheets is co-principal of research project on dental implants and cracked teeth with James C. Earthman, PhD at the UCI School of Engineering. Dr. Sheets has authored over 100 articles and has co-authored numerous textbook chapters.
