The Hospital of Central Connecticut

ER is horrible in every way and does not care about privacy - at all... First demanded my SSN, claiming it was for billing purposes, when I questioned further they decided it was to look people up in their system because it can "be difficult to look up people with hyphenated last names," which I do not have! Then your name and DOB and other info is printed on a sheet of labels that go on sample tubes, etc. but they misplaced mine - twice. When I was discharged I took the remaining labels with me because I had no confidence they would be properly disposed of. Now to the actual medical care - or lack thereof... I went on Labor day because my doctor and a walk-in clinic I tried were closed. They took an hour and a half to do a urine test that came back negative for infection and told me if the pain got worse to come back. What!?! I am at the ER!!! I understand some use it as primary care, but I am obviously not one of those as I've never been there and have a PCP - if I went to the ER and waited around for that long obviously the pain IS ALREADY BAD!!! I would have demanded additional tests to determine the cause of the pain, but at that point there was no way I trusted them to do anything. Not sure where to go now, but sure as hell I'll never go back there even though I live 3 minutes away!!!

The care I received at the ER on 7-30-14 was so substandard,I wouldn't recommend the hospital of central ct to anyone.I was laying in n my room for 4 hours, in PAIN, WHICH I KEPT ASKING FOR AND NEVER GOT.Even after pressing the buzzer for the nurse and I was told the nurse would be there in a minute,THE NURSE NEVER SHOWED.The staff did more joking around and laughing louder than they should with sick and hurting patients in the rooms.WAS I IN A COMIC TYPE CLUB OR IN A EMERGENCY ROOM???

This is the worst care I have ever received,and anyone would be better off going to Bradley memorial hospital in Southington of even ucon in Farmington, ct.

Think twice about going to the hospital of central ct.

this is a great hospital because when I gone there when I wa pregnact with both of my children they took very care of me and them. my daughter was born premature and they did everything in their ablity to make sure she lived and because of them she is a health child now. they go the extra distance that some hospital just don't go. they care more about the care of the patients.
