ImmediaDent - Urgent Dental Care

This establishment has very poor and unprofessional policies. Went in for a routine cleaning and was told that I HAD TO HAVE X-RAYS or they couldn't do the cleaning. This business accepts KY Medicaid recipients and is use to dealing with individuals that may or usually may not be educated. Therefore, they more than likely, on a routine basis, push deleterious procedures upon patients as a way to boost their bottom line revenues. Not only is this unethical but its also insidious in nature. I'm ok with subjecting my body to care that I may need in an emergency situation where the downside to me not receiving would do more harm than good. But, If I don't have an immediate medical emergency that calls for Xray exposure...Than I"m not going to subject my body to something that causes more harm than good in a common setting. ESPECIALLY NOT FOR ROUTINE DENTAL CLEANINGS!!

They may claim that in order to do a thorough exam that they NEED to have these preemptive films to prevent me from loosing a tooth down the road. However, I have a right to be my own advocate for denying care thats not MEDICALLY NECESSARY. And, if you don't as a patient, stand up for your treatment options, You're placing yourself in harms way..

On top of unethical nature of their business... I was left setting in the waiting room for ten minutes after my appointment was to begin. Mind you that I arrived 15 minutes early and had all paperwork completed online. Not to mention that I was the only person in that waiting room.

I can clearly see, after reading the reviews of others online and eavesdropping on emergency calls while waiting, why this business was empty. I should have been suspect when I was able to get an appointment after only one days wait.

They claim to be an emergency after-hours office...Yet, I heard the receptionist refer not one but two potential patients with emergency situations to the UK clinic since they couldn't treat until the patients swelling subsided. Someone in an emergency situation calling an emergency treatment center is looking for more than a receptionist to funnel them to other doctors. My point is that this business poses as an emergency 24/7 clinic yet doesn't deal with emergencies.

Highly recommend this place. Dr Laura Ward is absolutely amazing and her staff is very pleasant. They always call to check on you the next day. Dr Wards dental hygienist went above and beyond to take care of my insurance so that I didn't have to worry with anything. I've never felt so comfortable at a dentist's office. Very professional and welcoming!
