Wow! I could have pretty much written the exact same thing as Jennifer and Elle.

The fumes for the carpet installation were horrid and I don't know why I didn't complaint about it. The owner, Amanda, also tries to sell Thirtyone and Essential Oils more than what she tries to engage parents. She is also super hard to talk to and doesn't know how to communicate with parents AT ALL. After 2 years of having my child there I took her out because of the way in which she communicated with me (communications issues had been going on for awhile). I asked her if I could pay half of the norm for 3 weeks that we would be out of town because I would be doing military duty. Although I know that the policy said you can't do that, I only asked because I knew that there were other kids that would go part time during the summer time (didn't pay at all for some weeks) and didn't lose their spots. Anyway, she gave me a very cut and dry answer in which she stated the policy. I tried to get her to work with me and got nothing. The thing is that I knew my request was a stretch but you know what? If instead of barking policy back at me, she would have nicely replied something like: I would love to help you out, but I cannot make exceptions as I have had other parents ask for similar requests, I would have completely understand and stayed there.

I honestly took my daughter out of there because of how awful she was to deal with.



Another issue was the high teacher turn over. She can not keep teachers and is understaff because people can't stand her and quit. She is losing GREAT teachers because of her antics.



One more thing.....one time, she over charged me. It was an easy fix, but she kept making mistake after mistake with the payments and it took her THREE months to fix the issue.



It is a shame that such a great place is going to down hill because of the owner. Like Elle said, she needs to open her eyes, stop being a B*** to her employees and parents alike and get it together before she lets a great business go down the drain.

Little Learns Academy is superb. I know my child is safe, secure, and learns each and every day. The facility is of high quality; I particularly like the small classroom size where my child gets more personal attention. The owner and entire staff go out of their way to provide a quality learning environment.

I had my child at another center and pulled her out as soon as LLA opened and I met the director and toured the center. She is a clean freak and demands that of her staff. It looks like Pottery Barn kids in there!! hahaha. Her toys are the best quality (alot of Melissa and Doug which I buy my children) and the teachersd actually have access to tons of craft supplies(NOT happening at other centers believe me-I looked and busted crayons are what some have. gross) I am hard to please with daycare and I love her program. I stopped in at all times the first few weeks and my daughter was always happy and playing and the staff were actually interacting with the children! She serves fresh fruit for snack and with breakfast (the other daycare my daughter was at handed out cheap Little Debbie cinnamon rolls and called it breakfast. Karen in the 2 year old room with my daughter is always doing art projects. The playground is beautiful white sand. I could go on and on. Most of all my daughter is safe, happy at the end of the day and not in a huge "kid mill"center with miserable staff who talk about how they hate their jobs in front of the kids! She did fire a couple bad apples and I am respect her for doing so. * Note, any daycare will have kids with runny noses and I guarantee you if the other reviewer had taken the time to tell the owner her concerns she would've been all over it and adressed it with the staff. She runs a tight ship for the benefit of the kids and thats what I like.

Note: I obtained a daycare list of ALL the Gulf Breeze/Navarre daycares and visited ALL of them. I encourage you to do the same and then compare it to LLA, you will see what I mean.

Its beautiful very clean, the staff and owner are very friendly and good with the kids. So glad this daycare opened up in Navarre!
