You have probably heard someone complain about the challenges associated with obtaining a building permit. Many times these challenges—such as unnecessary costs, lost time, and uncertainty—can be avoided if you have an experienced and knowledgeable team working the process. Via Builders has been a major player for decades in the Bay Area residential construction industry, actively involved in the entitlement /permit process and construction of several projects at a given time. We accomplish this through knowing the city, county, or town standards, working closely with their personnel, and using knowledgeable professionals and consultants on our team when developing our plans for permit application. Working with Via starting in the early stages of this process can streamline this difficult process; and, you can be certain our expertise and experience will avoid lost time, unnecessary hassle, and cost.
In the early 1980’s, Via Builders started providing services to our first clients in Los Altos. Our roots began with Saviano Company in Los Altos Hills in 1961 where Via Builders founder and President, Ralph Sa via no, worked with his father, Dominick, on various grading, paving, landscaping and remodeling projects— both commercial and residential. Upon graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Ralph Sa via no started buying, improving and selling homes in the Los Altos and Los Altos Hills area and went on to establish Via Builders. Ralph’s experience with his Father, extensive Real Estate dealings, as well as work with local residences, municipalities and businesses is foundational to the operations of Via Builder’s today.
We also get calls from clients we did projects for 10, 20, and 30 years passed. It is our policy to prioritize our service to our previous clients that have trusted us for their construction needs. If our previous clients have a warranty call many years after we completed the project, a new handyman task, an addition, or want us to build them a new home, their project—big or small—is prioritized and put to the front of our service line.
