Pops Handyman Service

We hired Pop’s Handyman Service last month (April) to paint three rooms, lay down flooring in each of the rooms and the hallway, paint in the kitchen and put in NEW kitchen cabinet doors, and to paint the outside of the house. These are the issues we have dealt with from them:



They tore two holes in the kitchen floor when they moved the fridge and didn’t say anything – we found those on our own. We had to have them put on an additional coat of paint in the hallway like they were supposed to have done. Instead of pulling out nails and filling in any holes in the wall with putty or such they just painted over any nails and holes. On the outside of the house around the window casings they never came back to paint (they were told we have the bit to remove the burglar bars but that we would NOT just leave it out for them if they came while someone wasn’t home). They took out the kitchen cabinet doors and it took 7-10 days for him to take us down to Home Depot to look at cabinet doors they supposedly had in stock, though a rep at Home Depot said they haven't had doors in stock for years. He apologized and said he would take the doors to a cabinet place he dealt with before. In the three weeks Pop’s had the doors and two drawers he had said they were all painted with the hardware attached, all ready to be installed. After a letter was delivered they finally brought over the doors and drawers and left them in the carport even though someone was home; however, they were the OLD doors that they had repainted and filled in the grooves on the front and no hardware had been installed on any of them. Calls were not answered, voice mails were not responded to. No offer was made to refund the purchase price of the new doors. The check he was given covered the purchase and complete installation of NEW cabinet doors.
