Every family is different, which is why before we begin treatment, Allied’s pest technicians work to understand the issues at your home and take into consideration any pets or children in the home. We won’t just spray your baseboards and call it done; our pest control services are tailored to your unique needs and provide year-round protection.
Commercial Pest Control
Allied Termite and Pest Control has provided pest control and removal services to Memphis and surrounding Mid-South areas like Germantown, Collierville and Olive Branch for over 35 years. We utilize EPA registered materials to ensure your family’s safety. Allied exterminators are state certified and perform both residential and commercial pest control. Additionally, Allied can help with wildlife removal and rodent control.
Also known as “stink ants,” these tiny brown-black critters are very pesky. They get their name from the foul odor they emit as a defense mechanism. Odorous House Ants build their nests in log piles, insulation, window frames, boards and mulch, to name a few. They can be found outdoors and indoors, feeding on plants or exposed food. They are the most common ant in the urban Mid-South areas.
Spiders
The Mid-South and Tennessee as a whole are home to many spiders, but two are the most poisonous and dangerous: Brown Recluse Spiders and Black Widows. A Brown Recluse is medium sized, chocolate brown and has a violin shaped marking on top of its body. They can dwell in clothing and beds, where they are most prone to bite humans. Black Widow spiders are shiny, hairless and commonly live in areas where humans are, whether under furniture or debris. Wolf spiders are larger, camouflage in color and poisonous, but pose less of a threat to humans. They are often found in grassy lands and feed on other insects.
Termites
Termites are an aggressive pest that can wreak havoc on your home or business by causing dangerous structural damage. For Memphis area residents, termites are a common problem, making treatment and prevention a necessity.
Bed Bugs
For more invasive and dangerous pests like wasps, yellow jackets and bed bugs, we offer specialized treatment services.
Fleas
FLEAS Fleas and ticks are both small, blood-feeding insects. As most know, a sign of a pet having fleas is constant itching. Fleas lay eggs on their host, which can drop onto carpet, furniture or bedding and create home infestation. Ticks crawl onto their host from the tips of grass and shrubs. The most common is the “American Dog Tick”, which will feed on humans, pets and other mammals.
Cockroaches
These nuisances are the largest house-infesting roaches. They are reddish-brown and have wings, but seldom fly. These roaches are common in homes and other buildings because they are scavengers that will eat anything. Moving indoors during extreme hot or cold temperatures, they can climb on walls and often congregate in cracks and crevices.
Silverfish
Wasps
Allied knows that pests, rodents and wildlife make it difficult to enjoy your home and conduct business, which is why our exterminators are focused on quality and customer service. Allied’s certified technicians are trained to identify invasive species, such as wasps, cockroaches, termites and ants, exterminate them and then build a protection plan to help prevent future issues.
Ticks
Crickets
Flies
House flies are not only annoying and hard to catch, but they can easily carry diseases. They come from the outside but lay eggs inside – often near trash. Fruit flies are common in the South and are attracted to sweet foods. There are many types of flies, so effective treatment is determined by proper identification and their breeding sites.
Wildlife is a fact of life in the Memphis area as many communities are built in previously wooded areas or along tree lines. With such close proximity, some of those animals are likely to make their way into homes and businesses. Many wildlife animals can carry diseases or cause damage, making this a serious issue.
Your business is your livelihood. At Allied, we understand that pests and rodents can cause damage, affect operations, and leave a poor impression on customers; which is why we work around your schedule to help prevent and exterminate pests. This allows us to keep your work environment safe, bug free and prevent disruptions to your business operations.
Mice
Our annual pest protection plan helps protect your home from some of the most common pests found in the Mid-South. Ants, roaches and spiders crawl in through cracks and crevices looking to escape extreme heat and cold. Rodents, such as rats and mice, carry fleas and can chew through wires. Allied’s protection plan prevents against these pests, plus crickets and silverfish.
Rats
Common rats in Tennessee are the Norway rat and roof rat. They are common year-round. Not only are they dirty and disease carriers, they are highly destructive, able to cause thousands of dollars of damage to buildings due to chewing. They are larger than mice and have poor eyesight, but have excellent smell and taste. They are not picky on what they eat and will feed on human food.
Squirrels
Raccoons and squirrels can find their way into your attic and chew wires and insulation. Opossums, while they do eat other rodents and pests, carry a myriad of diseases that can be transferred to humans. At Allied Pest Control, we understand the issues that these wild animals can cause to homes, so we’re experts at safely removing any pests or rodents that find their way in.
