Mercy Hospital / Mammography Department

A more personal touch. Less factory like and the staph infection rate is far lower than the other option in town. It isn't a "teaching hospital" like Maine Med so you don't end up being a guinea pig. I was born there and so was my daughter. I'm not a Christian and regardless of the religious history of nuns wanting to care for the citizens of Portland (nothing wrong with that) they've NEVER treated me with anything but the utmost respect. I can't say the same for their sister satellites that provide primary care. I have received some disrespectful assumptions about possibly being a drug seeker which is a shame bc the hospital directly has been nothing bit great to me in my 35 years of life.
