Overall

Well, from the reviews below, you would think this is a company to be wary of. But my repair went like clockwork. The tech arrived when he said he would, ordered parts and scheduled the return visit while here. The next week, I received an email confirming the visit, and a link that would allow me to see where the tech was in his schedule that day (kind of like UPS tracking). He arrived on time, had the parts, and the machine now works perfectly. We could not be more pleased at the service.

Overall

If I could give them a negative rating, I would. Do not let this company in your house! They did not properly connect a tube from the washer, and water leaked through our ceiling. Now, they will not call me back to repair my ceiling.

Do yourself a favor and keep l...

Do yourself a favor and keep looking. I've never been so disappointed, and with so many aspects of the company. They left my washer machine in worse condition than they had received it. It broke shortly there after the whole fiasco and American Home Shield called them again. I said if they couldn't get another company I would rather just pay Sears myself.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

I was forced to use Gulf Appliance for dryer repair based on my home warranty's choice. Our dryer's motor was broken and needed repair. Not only was the technician, "Jyrod", who came out to my house extremely rude, but he blatantly lied to my home warranty company that our dryer's gas line was unreachable. (We paid $500 a month before his visit to have our gas line brought up to code with more than ample line length and a shut-off valve placed on the wall right behind the dryer.)



The owner of Gulf Appliance, "Chris", was also very unhelpful in the situation and refused to call us back after we explained to him that our gas line was in fact reachable with him telling us he would "take care of it". Gulf Appliance played the blame game for over 3 weeks leaving us with no dryer and a bunch of unreturned phone calls.



I DO NOT recommend Gulf Appliance and would suggest to anyone considering an appliance company to look elsewhere.

Do not recommend them/overcharged

They ordered a part and two months later then still had not come to install. I had to call every week to check on it and they kept saying they didn't get it. I called the Parts place they order from and they said it was in and would sell it to me for under $40. But I had already paid this company $75 service call that would be deducted from the parts cost. They charged me $195 for the part that I could have gotten for $40 and took 10 minutes to install it. I called to see about why they had overcharged me so much for which they had no explanation for nor would they reduce the cost. I also asked to at least have a discount since I waited 2 months for a simple part...they would not do that either, Will never use them again!
