        Twenty years ago, shortly after starting an electrical contracting business with his father, John, and brother, John Jr. Dennis Gambino was doing some work at a customers home when he realized that he was missing a receptacle. It was late in the day, and the work had to be completed quickly because his customer was having guests that evening. Instead of going back to the shop to get the part, he went to his own house, which was nearby, removing a receptacle from his wall, and installing it at his customers home. This is the kind of passion and dedication the Gambino family started their business with, and it continues in earnest today. And, its why 52 percent of their business is repeat customers. (Incidentally, he replaced the receptacle at his customers home with a new one a few days later). Today, Gambino Electric operates out of offices at 670 Airy St. in Norristown. They employ 30 full-time workers, and 15 trucks. And, as their reputation grows, so has their business - reaching areas far and wide, now serving 7 counties including Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, Philadelphia, Lancaster, and Lehigh. Their services have expanded too. Electrical work was our only business when we started, said Dennis Gambino. Gradually, we got into general contracting to meet our customers expanding needs, and now we've moved into heating and air conditioning, he added. Gambino Electric offers customers a coordinated effort. One call does it all.
