The "company" is possibly co-owned by Gustavo Becerra of Sylmar. (Search Google for "Gustavo Becerra arrested" in Sylmar, Ca and become informed.) Is it the same person? You be the judge.

According to public records, Amberfrent, INC., (and by proxy, BG's Big Box) forfeited all rights of legal enforcement of their contracts when they were suspended by the Franchise Tax Board in 2011.

DO NOT PAY THEM!!! You don't have to. If they file a lien, they have to sue you to enforce it. If they don't file a lawsuit within 45 days (and they won't), you simply fill out a form and the lien gets removed. If you are trying to refinance your home or need the lien lifted for financial reasons, your escrow company will put the monies aside, freeing you to complete your transaction.



Additionally, they love to threaten you and unlawfully charge legal fees which they are NOT entitled to under Mechanics Lien Law.

First off let me start by saying these guys don't even deserve one star.



I called for two bins to do yard work; told them we would have dirt and concrete, the basic stuff you get when doing your yard. We were quoted $300 per bin. They said we needed to call them the day of the drop off to schedule a time. Instead, the driver showed up at our house at 7:30am without us even calling. The driver was very nice and professional but I believe this tact of showing up early is so that you don’t have time to read the contract (that they won’t send you ahead of time). After two days we called for a pickup. The owner called us two hours later saying there was a big problem. He said our bins were too full and that there was trash in the bins. There was no trash, just yard waste and never once were we told we could only fill up the bins half full. He then proceeded to tell us that the dirt had to be “clean” (meaning no roots or grass – like that’s even possible) and that we was going to charge us an additional $600 DEPOSIT per bin because there were roots in the bins. When I tried to reason with him he threated to dump everything on our yard and/or sue us. He then hung up the phone before I could respond. He also had his driver leave the bins and then said we owed him an additional $100 for the delivery. We finally caved, paid him the extra money (check only) and though that was the end of this jerk. Oh were we wrong. He then sent us a bill for an additional $500 saying that this was the overage fee. That's a total of $2,400 when the origianl quote was $600



This place is a scam. It's better to go with a place that a little more because these crooks will screw you in the end. If you do decide to go with them, read the contract before hand and get anything that they say over the phone in writing.
