Akins Plumbing & Septic

I had a major hot water heater issue, called Akins about 1030 and at 1230 they were here. They not only fixed the leaks on the heater they also cleaned up the water that had leaked. This has been an absolutely positive experience for me and will use them in the future for any plumbing issues that I have. Thank you for a job well done.

We are selling our house and were so desperate to get our leaky sink fixed for the new owners before closing. We called a few other companies to come out and were going to charge us 3 times what Akins Plumbing did. John came out to our house very promptly and was very honest with us about our repairs for our kitchen sink and fixed it in no time at all! He was very courteous, clean, and knew what he was doing! He also took the time to explain to my husband and I what was going on which was nice as well. I will recommend John from Akins to everyone who needs a good, reliable plumber!

John Ragusa came out on a Sunday morning and put in a new water heater for me. He is the best plumber I have ever had do work for me. I would highly recommend Akins and John for any plumbing work you need.

Called Ricky after another plumber came out and tried to fix my septic system for me. They ended up saying it was fixed and having it leak that night. Ricky's crew came right after that night and stopped the leak and had it fixed by the next morning. I can't speak enough to how much of a life saver Ricky was for me!

I have a rental home. The tenants complained of a sewer smell in the master bath. I spoke with Ricky at Akins Plumbing. He promptly sent someone out to investigate the problem. They replaced the seal under the toilet. My tenants still noticed a sewer smell. I spoke with Ricky again and he sent a different technician with a fresh perspective to investigate. He went through the house and checked every bathroom, studor vent and the septic system and all were in perfect order. The tenants were smelling the litter box in the master bath. Akins plumbing was very responsive, helpful, understanding and helped me as a landlord perform my due diligence. I appreciate their help and patience. Prices are extremely reasonable and will use again.

Had a septic problem and wasn't really sure what to do. Akins Plumbing was the 2nd company I called. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes with the first company, I gave up. Ricky (a real plumber!) answered my phone call and was instantly assuring and helpful. He explained everything I needed to know and what would happen. That same day, the Akins crew showed up, and repaired my problem without any hassles! It's never fun to have a plumbing problem, but at least I know who to call now!!

This was our first time using Akins. James did a great job installing a kitchen sink and 2 shower valves. We had a concern about the valves and he came out 2 times to make sure we were satisfied with the work. He explained the differences between our old and new valves. He was very concerned with our satisfaction. We will use them in the future.

I did have a problem with Akins that after 3 years came back up but Ricky took care of it, was very nice about it and I will use them again it the furture. It is nice to know that a mans word is still good.

This is the first time I have used Akins and I’ll definitely request their services in the future. The staff was friendly and professional and I was very pleased with the bathroom restoration work. Another company had advised the job would take 4 days when Akins was able to complete it within one day. Their prices are reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone needing bathroom remodeling.
