New York Pizza & Pasta

Awesome food, awesome atmosphere, and friendly employees!!! Nice sports bar with entertainment! !!!! Must try when in swf.

We were visiting Trader Joe's and thought it would be nice to try a non-chain for a quick dinner before a party he had at 7:00pm. We found the restaurant using our yp.com GPS app and walked it at 5:40pm. Upon walking in the set up was a bit confusing. The waitresses and host weren't stationed by the door and we stood waiting near the restrooms until someone asked us if we'd been seated. We were seated and the hostess took our drink orders. My husband and I both ordered sodas and my 2 year old asked for water. At 5:50pm our waitress came over and asked if she could start us off with drinks. We informed her that we'd already given our drink order to the hostess but hadn't received them yet. At 5:55pm our drinks arrived and she took our order. We ordered a mozzarella app, a broccoli Calzone and a pasta dish. at 6:15 our mozzarella sticks arrived and our food wasn't served until 6:45pm. My two year old is very well behaved, not an angel, but after an hour her patience with the booth and the crayon and paper that they'd provided her with became unsubstantial to hold her attention. My calzone had 7 pieces of broccoli and the inside was unmixed leaving a layer of thick mozzarella laying over ricotta. My husbands pasta was arrived 10 mins later than my calzone and had a great cream sauce but was not what he was expecting when he ordered Alfredo. At 7:00pm i followed the hostess asked for our check and was out the door by 7:05pm. I would not choose to go there again, and i hope that from reading this, you'll either avoid the place all together or go in with a lot of patience and a plan to limit your order to pizza!
