Very Good Recommendation! Supply Guy

We tried this new place in Muncie after having some sewing done at Sow N Sews Custom Sewing inside the Army Navy Surplus and asking about places in Muncie he (the owner) recommended eating. Our son was hungry and he does love Mac & Cheese after hearing about this place begged to go, and didn't want burgers or pizza, so the supply guy recommended Noodles-&-Company and even had a menu handy, so we could ask how this or that was.

He asked how hungry were we, and recommended adding some "Chicken" if were a bit hungrier, and that the wife actually likes the crusted chicken on her buttered noodles with a bigger tossed salad.

Once again the supply guy helped us find a good change of pace out of our routine; the food was as good as he said it would be, and portions were as small as some have reviewed, but good for us, pricing was what we expected, and my son now loves the hot sauce on his Mac & cheese. Really good and hot, hot sauce (No they don't sell it there.)

We tried their Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, Buttered Noodles with Chicken, and Mediterranean with Chicken and each of us had a tossed salad and fountain drinks so we all left feeling comfortably full, but not over stuffed.

We enjoyed this place, and didn't catch the rush hour or any such thing so we didn't encounter the lines some have, and we had no trouble finding seating for three in a booth.

How can Mac & Cheese be anything but Good!

Had the daughter and two of the grandchildren in toe and we all went to this shop for lunch; and it was busy, line around the inside of the shop and because it was not our first time we pretty much knew what to expect. So I went next door tot he AT&T shop and checked out the High Tech gadgets and the daughter just called me when there were closer to the point I should go back in. It took about 20-25 Minuets to get to the order counter and because we had more then two people we searched for a booth but settled for two close tables enough to seat five adult size persons.

The whole group agrees this is a nice place but needs more room and it is so new it is hard to say if that is going to happen any time soon. We will still consider them for lunch or early evening bite to eat; but this place needs more room and better bathroom facilities for the size crowds they are drawing.

But the Food is great and all in all we are well pleased with the new eatery.

One thing to remember is the plates look large, but the portions are for those on a regular diet as a way of life? Add the Protein and save on not ordering the skimpy salad just get yourself some extra protiene....Yummy!

Overall
Good food, well prepared, but a little pricey for the amount your get

I am a Mac & Cheese person all the way. So when this opened up, we decided to try it out the next time we went out in that area of town. We tried it on Friday Evening after work and some shopping and found a pretty big line and very little seating for a group of four. Actually it made my wife anxious for a seating place as we finally approached the order takers register, as it appeared there would be no place to sit together as a group.

Anyway we placed the order found a place after a short wait and the bus boy came over and cleaned the table as we were sitting there. The food came out very quickly; smelled great, looked great, and seemed to me to be a bit less then I was expecting on the plate. But what was there was delicious and well prepared. I had ordered a salad and regret that decision as it was absolutely not worth what they charged for it...good but here again, it must have been prepared for smaller person on a diet.

Adding the protein as they offer it, is well worth it and I recommend it if you are at all going to feel comfortably full. The flat bread is OK but again a bit pricey. Drinks are either fountain or bottled and pretty routine with what you expect at a fast food place.

My wife who like hot sauce says the stuff they have there is really good. We both had a Mediterranean selection and it was a birthday dinner for one in our party and we picked up the tab for the group of four. Total with beverages $53.00 for the four of us and the extras; such as flat bread, appetizers (6 PCs) salads (3) Fountain drink refill seems just a little pricey but the food is really good. They also had some cookies or crispy treats that could be purchased, but I think they could just increase their portion of noodles or give more salad and do much better. Yummy Food and good service.

I don't think you should plan beyond four people though so if you have a small tribe or larger group? You need to think elsewhere.

Good but industrial?

The Food was good, service fast, and space to eat decent enough but I felt it was a bit industrial in the way it operates. It is not the kind of place I would take a group of people who wanted to sit down together (can't) but the food is very tasty, and the Hot Sauce is really hot but good.

The other thing I noticed is the line moved quickly but it winded around the inside of the shop. but the hostess came along and handed out take out menus and the staff was very friendly, courteous, and attentive for a pretty much self serve place.

I would recommend this place for a light and quick lunch or supper of salad and noodle type food. The kids should like it if they like macaroni and cheese, as the Wisconsin was especially tasty..

It is close to other shopping and easy to reach being right off McGalliard Rd. and Wheeling Ave. in Muncie.

Overall
New Restaurant worth Visiting...Mmm Yummy!

The Mrs. and I had occasion to be in the Northwest Plaza area this evening and I remembered reading the Noodle Company was suppose to be opening; so I asked the wife if she would like to try something new, and she said yes, so we took a chance on it being not too busy and zipped across Gallard to what used to be the old Boston Market section of the building where the AT&T / Cingular store is located at the corner of N. Wheeling Ave. and W. McGalliard Rd. Dinner for the two of us ran $16.84 and included two regular dishes with protein, and a Green Tea / fountain Water. The Wife really like the buttered noodles with Parmesan crusted chicken, while I had the grilled chicken

The Restaurant offers Asian, Mediterranean, American cuisine, opportunity to Customize it, some veggie/roll/flat-bread Sides, krispy/cookie Desserts, and fountain/bottled juices & beverages as well as beer/wine by the glass/bottles.

The Wife discovered a really nice Asian Hot Sauce she tried on her noodles and she is what I would consider a connoisseur of fine hot sauces and she LOVES this stuff called sriracha HOT chili sauce from the Huy Fong Foods Inc. at first taste I thought she was going to go ballistic as she grabbed my green tea drink (mind you she declined a drink at check-out even a glass for water from the fountain dispenser) so I asked her do you want something to drink (bottle/fountain/etc?) after all and she declined once again. But she's a very brave soul and the taste of the Sriracha must have had a favorable effect on here as she decided to ask for a glass with ice and a some fountain water.

Equipped with some fresh water she was ready to tackle the dish with more Sriracha once again. Mmm Yummy is all she could say. Service was quick, friendly, and the portions were not immediately filling but as it settled in was pleasantly filling, the Regular portion should be very good for the average person of average apatite. The small portion bowl for smaller apatites and there is even a Trio that combines small noodles, Soup or Salad and to add some protein.

We would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion except formal; it can be busy, noisy, and have a line but moves quickly. There is no large party size tables beyond maybe 5-6 folks, and I saw some take out while we were eating, and an outside table with umbrellas on the west side of the building. Should be a success here in Muncie.
