HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Do not do business with them. They have outstanding judgments against them This year (2013) in Delaware County, Indiana for defrauding customers. This is a matter of public record and can be verified with the Delaware County Court, RUN FROM THIS BUSINESS!!

Very Poor Service

Robert never showed up for the work he promised. Very dissappointed with the quality of his business. I would highly recommend doing business elsewhere. I have had a very difficult time locating him for warranty issues.

Good help is hard to find nowa...

Good help is hard to find nowadays, unless of course you go with Gillespie & Son! I needed to have my furnace serviced and I looked into four different businesses. I was unsure about who I should go with so I called each one to get a sense of cost etc. Hands down Robert at "Gillespie's" was the most friendly, the most helpful, the most down to earth, and extremely personable. I was anticipating that the problem might be an expensive one, and was concerned that I may end up having to dish out money for unnecessary repairs, however, Robert pointed out the issues, and worked his magic and fixed the problem. What a relief!

If you are at all hesitant about going with a "smaller business" push those worries aside when it comes to Gillespie & Son, because you WILL be taken care of, no doubt! It's refreshing to know that there are still a few businesses that believe in truly taking care of their customers. Thank you Robert!

Robert installed cental air in...

Robert installed cental air in our home last summer. Due to my husband's health we needed the bedroom cooler than the rest of the house. We called Robert and he came and installed a unit in the bedroom to take care of the problem, at no charge. Were it up to us, we would give Robert Gillespie and Son 6 Stars. No one provides faster or better service.

Robert has been part of our home for years. He is the only non- family speed dial we have at this house. I have recently taken over the maintenance of our family home after my dad's death, and I know that there is only one person to call for keeping this house up , running and safe. Robert always goes out of his way to look for any potential problems so we can "get 'er done" now or get it on the "to do soon" list.

My dad is looking down knowing our home remains in good hands -- safe and efficient-- because Robert and his organization are a call away.

This is a quality organization. They stand behind all equipment , installation and repair. When you call, the call is returned. They have a great reputation, and it is justly deserved. Our family has depended on them for years and always will.

I can not say enough about Rob...

I can not say enough about Robert Gillespie. I called him to do some minor electrical work at my rental. While at the house the technican checked out the furnace. We were told this was a routine service provided. I received a call from Robert to let me know that the fire box on the furnace was burnt out and needed to be replaced. The house needed a furnace so I told him to replace the furnace. He called me in the next day to show me the old furnace. It was completely burnt out and carbon monoxide was being expelled through the vents. Thank God this team is so experienced and do such a complete check of the property when they make a service call. I would never trust my home or rental to anyone other thatn Gillespie and Son Heating and Cooling.

They always take good care of ...

They always take good care of us. We've done business with Gillespie and Sons for 7 years. Every time we have to had to call them out they have been honest, fair, skillful and quick to respond. In fact, I called this past Saturday becasuse our furnace had been failing to kick on. The owner himslef responded to the call the same day. He came in and took the time to carefully diagnose a simple adjustment that was necessary to the factory settings of our furnace. And although this was a service call that should have cost us, because of longstanding history and the nature of the call, Mr. Gillespie did not even charge us for the visit! It's this personalized care and relationship that I value, in addition to their knowledge and experience. I would definitely recommed them for your heating and/or cooling needs.

I had Gillespie and Sons do so...

I had Gillespie and Sons do some work for me on 9/14/2011, due to a fire we had to have a new furnace and central air unit. The team of professionals came in and completed the work, including some plumbing issues, in less than 12 hours. They were professional, quick and left no mess to clean up. This company cost was 1/3 less than any other bid we received. I would recommend Robert Gillespie and Sons to anyone in need of plumbing, heating or central air.

After a long 4th of July weeke...

Outstanding Service!







After a long 4th of July weekend, coming back to work in a building that had no air conditioning for three days was less than pleasant. We called Gillespie and Sons and their responsiveness was astounding. They came to our rescue and, with their professionalism, had the problem solved in no time at all. We have always been thankful for their reliable service, but each time they prove themselves and leave us with no doubt on who to call next time. To everyone at Gillespie and Sons: Thank you for your hard work and outstanding service.

Solid service during a difficult time

We called Gillespie & Sons when the furnace and water heater stopped working in the basement of our rental property in Muncie as a result of flooding in Feburary 2011. Melissa, the office mgr, was always very pleasant to work with and would take our calls at all hours of the night. Robert, the owner, was honest and very receptive to all of our questions.



The city did go into a state of flood emergency, so after getting them out to take a look at the initial damage, it did take a little while (roughly 5 days) for us to settle on pricing details (also very reasonable) and to get them back to install the new furnace that was required and to replace the bottom element on the water heater. However, this was somewhat excepted.



My father was in the heating and cooling business for 30 years and I had him inspect the job after completion. We were both very satisfied with their work.



My wife and I live out of town and would certainly call Gillespie again with any service needs!

My air conditioner system recently started acting up on me. It was blowing hot air and not cooling correctly. It was an older system and I knew it had to be replaced but was unsure of the cost associated with such a project. My wife and I are expecting our second child and as such our budget is pretty tight.



I called two heating and air company's to come out to take a look at our system. Both company's recommended replacing the system rather then repairing and left me quotes that were so expensive I thought I would faint. I was just so concerned about our budget and the upcoming arrival of our baby that I was at wits end. A friend of mine told me to call Gillespie and Son in Muncie. Robert Gillespie the owner of the company came out to look at our air conditioner. Robert recommended replacing the system but also offered me the option of repairing the existing system. Needless to say the repair price was much more affordable then replacing the entire air conditioning system and to a young couple struggling to make ends meet we were grateful that finally someone took the time to understand our situation and offer us options instead of just an expensive replacement project.



I know that I will be calling Gillespie and Son to replace my system next year after we have had time to save and budget for this project. This is a company that really works hard understand the needs of their customers and delivers on it's promises.

100% Satisfied!

Over this past winter we realized our Geo Thermal heating and cooling system was not working properly at all as we were experiencing very high bills, but we were cold all the time. The heat felt like air conditioning and was very uncomfortable. We had just purchased the home in the fall and knew nothing about Geo Thermal. We spoke with several companies and chose Gillespie and Sons to tackle the diagnosis and ultimately the many repairs necessary. All the work completed not only looks great and very professionally done, but we also haven't had a single problem since the repairs. Our system was not an easy fix, with all kinds of improper plumbing issues, pressure problems, and just a whole lot of things to address. It took several trips and many hours to get it all straightened out and in great working order. Our next bill was one fourth of what we had been paying!! The repair cost was very reasonable and I especially appreciated all the extra time Robert took to patiently answer all my questions, of which I had many! I now know a whole lot more about my Geo Thermal system thanks to Robert! He and his crew are very personable people to deal with and I highly recommend their services. This is a company you can trust to treat you right!
