        Dr. Megan Baker is a high risk breast cancer specialist who comes to Mt. Pleasant Breast Specialists after 10 years as medical director of Comprehensive Breast Care at Hollings Cancer Center. Dr. Baker leads a team of experienced nurses and staff who are passionate about women’s health, and who understand the particular concerns and sensitivities related to cancers of the breast, particularly high risk breast cancer. Dr. Baker is a graduate of Columbia University, and earned her medical degree at Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, with additional training in oncoplastic breast surgery at Case Western Reserve University. She treats the full range of breast cancers, with particular expertise in high risk breast cancer, prophylactic mastectomy and familial breast ovarian syndrome.

        Courtesy and patience starts at the front desk and carries me through each encounter of medical staff to Dr. Baker. She really listens to what I say and uses my information with her incredible training and intuition to determine diagnosis and treatment. A true collaborative and affirming experience.

        I have seldom seen a physician’s office run as smoothly as this one. Dr Baker is caring, compassionate and highly skilled. She has a way of making her patient feel they are not alone on their challenging and very confusing journey. I highly recommend this awesome physician.
