        Central Michigan Community Hospital is a nonprofit, locally governed community hospital that offers a range of health and wellness services from the hospital campus and offsite locations. CMCH is recognized as a source for quality medical care for the residents of Isabella County and central Michigan. The hospital has nearly 60 active medical staff physicians and more than 150 courtesy, consulting, adjunct, and honorary and health professional affiliates. It continues to be one of the largest employers in the region with more than 700 employees and approximately 300 people that fulfill volunteer roles. Services provided by the hospital include 24-hour emergency department, mammography and bone densitometry, cardiopulmonary, pediatrics, microdermabrasion, chaplain visits, Readycare walk-in clinic, diagnostic imaging and X-rays, rehabilitation services, endoscopy, same-day surgery, sleep diagnostics center, home care services, health promotion services and intensive care.         Very poor servive

        I am very disappointed with this hospital. I went in on January of 2013 for surgery to have half of my colon removed. The room they put me in had a elderly women with dementia that had hip surgery. she kept screaming that no one loved her and that she wanted to die. She had compression socks on and everyte it squeeze her legs she screamed someone was touching her. This went on from the Monday I went into the hospital until Tuesday night when they remove her to another part of the hospit. Then in the room next to me they had an elderly man that was getting the same surgery that I had screaming at the nurses that he wanted water. When the did not reply to the gentleman, he started calling then fu!!!!! Bi!!!es. He was even calling them hores. I asked if I could go and give him a glass of water just to shut him up. The nurses kept apologizing to me but it went on until Wednesday. The nurses said that they did not want anyone in my room because I needed to get some sleep. On Tuesday night around 11:30 they brought in a woman that need surgery and woke me up. The check in nurse kept bumping into my bed with her cart and didn't even have the decency to close my curtains. They turned on the light and was talking loud. I did not get any rest until I went home on Thursday afternoon. I complained to the hospital about the problems I had there and how unhappy I was. I took them over a year to send me a bill and it wasn't even itemized. I tried working with them and since we moved out of Michigan temporarily, they said there was nothing they could do because I moved and turned me into a collections agency. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

        Overall

        This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. They can't diagnose worth crap, they take forever getting you into a room, the phone nurse isn't competent enough to do their job, And the communication is terrible. The doctor barely explains anything and they have trouble remembering to explain your medication and instructions. I would rather go out of my way and go to Clare or Gratiot for treatment because this hospital is terrible.
