        Ararat Rock Products is a family-owned company founded in 1955 by Jim Crossingham Sr. Ararat Rock Products loads out 2,500 to 3,000 tons of crushed stone per day a total of approximately 650,000 tons per year, making Ararat Rock Products one of the largest independent producers of crushed stone in North Carolina. The quarry operates 10.5 hours per day, 5.5 days per week. It employs about 28 people.
