This place should be ashamed to even be in business. I gave the owner my mailing address when I filled out my "work order" and she then gave it away to another business owner for his own personal use. Oh my goodness, do you have no knowledge of "Business Standards?" What are you thinking? Thats right you don't think. I do not want to even give them 1 star, but I have to, so I can post this.

Charged my granny over $2,000 for what was supposed to be "state of art" computer. This computer was a hunk of junk. It could have been purchased from WalMart for less than $600. In addition, they talked her into purchasing a $400 store service contract. The first time she called for service (which was within weeks of purchase), Chipmenders told her she would have to pay for that repair since it wasn't covered under the store contract. I don't even think the computer was new. If it was new, there would have been a manufacturer's warranty. There wasn't. These people are slick. When my granny went someplace else to get her computer repaired, she was told by Chipmenders that this voided the store warranty which she had purchased.

Almost two years ago I bought a computer from this place -- big mistake! I thought I was buying a new computer. Not only did I buy a piece of junk, I bought a USED piece of junk. This place doesn't even deserve a single star but I had to give it at least one star in order to rate it.

This place repaired my computer with superglue rather than welding the loose part. I was charged almost $400. When the part came loose again the following week, I called and was told they would be glad to "fix" it again but I would have to pay again. I went elsewhere only to find that the superglue had melted and ruined my motherboard. It is the dishonest and incompetent owner and technician at Chipmenders who should be ashamed. It is obvious to me that they wrote their own five-star review.

Beware! This place is run by a con woman. I was charged $149.99 for a part (1G ram upgrade) only to find out a week later from another repair shop that the part was used. A new part from the mfr of my computer would have had a lifetime warranty and cost under $20. Data retrieval failed to return data to my computer. In the end I was charged more for virus removal and data retrieval than my computer was worth. Going to Chipmenders was an enormous waste of time and money. I had to take my computer to another shop in order to get my computer connected to the internet through my service provider. This place was a rip-off.
