Bitec, founded in 1986, offers contractors, building owners and architects quality roofing products, including modified bitumen membrane. The company, based in Morrilton, Ark., markets its products through a distribution network in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Bitec s quality control laboratory and testing equipment ensures quality waterproofing membranes that can withstand the elements. The company s products meet the standards set by the Underwriters Laboratories, Factory Mutual Research, Metropolitan Dade County and Department of Housing and Urban Development. Bitec s products include atactic polypropylene and styrene-butadiene-styrene membranes, adhesives and coatings and accessories, underlayment UDL-40, mineral design APP and SBS pattern design cap sheets, self-adhered membranes and, MAT- 40 metal and tile underlayment. Bitec s modified bitumen membranes are available for application by heat welding, hot asphalt, self-adhered and cold adhesive methods.
