Fantastic Cuts

I use nicole at the Monroe fantastic cuts she cuts my hair and color and highlights it. She even does my husband and sons hair!! I love how she does it! I would recommend Her to anyone

Ive gone to this salon several times and have always had a younger girl, about my age, trim and blow out my hair for me and she always did a fine a job. I popped in on Sunday for my usual trim/blowout combo but my usual girl was not in. There was an older woman there (Lorraine) who id never had before that offered to trim it for me. I was leary, but I decided itllthat it was just a trim and that it'd probably be fine. Now I wish I would've turned around and RUN out the door. So, we sat down at her chair (the 8th chair, closest to the sinks. In case you ever have the misfortune of accidentally walking into this place) and she asked me what I was looking for. I was pretty specific. I stated j wanted a TRIM and some of the bulkiness removed because my hair is curly and gets very bulky when ut grows out. She washed my hair and sat me down at her station and started chopping away! She cut strange choppy short layers into the top of my hair. Making the front really short and unblended. Then she left the back long but texturized the crape out of the back. So it looked long and stringy and there was a huge hole missing ot of the back. I had to pay $13 extra for a "blowout" and all she did was blow dry my hair into some weird 80's poof. I practically ran out of there thinking j could fix it when I got home. I raced home and got to work in it with my fiat iron. But once it was straight I could really see the chop job that had been given to me. Scared to have anyone from this place do anything else to my head, I made an appt at Iota to see if there was anything they could do. Tracy, the salon manager was kind enough to fit me in based on the desperation in my voice and the description of this monstrosity. When I arrived and she started looking at this "haircut" with a puzzled loom on her face. She said she had never seen anything like it. After over an hour of her cutting my hair into an assymetrical bob, literally taking all the length off in the back (she had no choice) I finally had normal looking hair again. She saved my life. I called fantastic f@#$-ups to see if they could refund my money (because now ive spent $75 for a haircut I never wanted. I wanted a TRIM afterall.) But the owner simply told the receptionist to tell me "no". No explanation, no offer of anything else to right the wrong, nothing but a no. This place should be shut down. It gives affordable hair salons a bad name. And the girl I was seeing there before this happened... honey, go to a different salon. You're way too good to be associated with that butcher shop.

I go with Sandra. She's great about listening to what you want and where you don't want her to cut. Tamia does a great job with my 2 yr old. I took my son to another woman who I would not recommend to my enemies. She was in a rush and eventually buzz cut my 10 yr old's hair. Horrible. Don't remember her name but I know her face and won't go near her for nothing!!
