        Dealing with idiots

        Don't but furniture from this place. Like their commercial says "There's no place like Home Place". You better believe it.



        I bought a total bedroom suite. They didn't deliver the furniture when they said they would. They damaged my furniture on the way upstairs. The damage was a 8 inch scratch across the top of the foot board. They damaged my drywall. I called the salesman at the store while they were still in my house and told him (Mike) about the damaged. He said they would take care of it, they didn't. Home Place wanted to come and repair the furniture that their delivery people damaged. NO THANKS I bought new furniture. I had to pay extra for delivery and for them to take it upstairs. I also had to provide an electric screwdriver and other tools for them.



        They finally replaced the foot board, only after a lot of time spent talking to the home office. All the store manager here in Mobile could say was "It's out of my hands". He was useless. He could do something about his delivery people.

        Home Place also opened an account with a high limit without my authorization.
