Wound Care
Proper, vigilant wound care is necessary in the prevention of infection and to promote healing of the skin. Depending on your particular wound, the providers at Family Practice Associates of Chesterfield will assess your needs and begin your treatment in the office. Continuing care with topical antibiotics or creams along with cleaning and dressing the wound can be handled at home. Follow up visits are necessary to monitor the healing of the wound.

Physical Therapists

Sports Medicine
Dr. Kaundal is a member of the Performance Committee for Virginia Care Partners. She has served as a delegate for the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians at the National Conference of Constituency Leaders. She also participates in outreach events, volunteering at the yearly Remote Area Medical event in Wise, Virginia, as well as working with local elementary schools to provide children with sports physicals and roundtable discussions on the importance of healthy eating habits and exercise.
Physical Therapy
Scott is returning to Family Practice Associates (FPA), where he worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Clemens Hallmann prior to attending PA school. He has also spent time as a Patient Service Representative at VCU Health in Outpatient Physical Therapy, and as a volunteer in the Emergency Department at St. Francis Medical Center. Scott is excited to be back at FPA, working with providers and nurses that he knows well and admires. He looks forward to working with patients in an attentive and supportive environment to achieve optimal health.

Ingrown Toenails
An ingrown toenail may occur when the corners of the toenails begin to dig into the flesh on either side of the toe, often accompanied with redness, intense pain and swelling. If infected, treatment may include antibiotics and the removal of the nail.
