Divas N Dudes

Do Not and I repeat do not support Divas n Dudes on Hull Street. I have never been so insulted and angry in all of my days. I made an appointment for my son to get a wash and condition. She asked his name. She said I'm sorry when you made the appointment I didn't realize he had Ethnic hair. My baby looks up to me and said what kind of hair? She said we don't have the expertise to do his kind of hair. So I said what kind of hair Ma'am? He's getting his hair washed. She said I'm not sure we can give you what you're looking for. I got the hint and I got the heck out of there. I will be sending a nice letter to the owners and I may call channel 12.

I happened upon this salon by accident, and since my kid needed a haircut, I gave it a try. Well, they don't take walk-ins (as I was immediately told when I walked in). There were two stylists there, no clients, but I began to walk out. They stopped me and said they'd go ahead and do the haircut, but made sure to tell me next time I'd need an appointment (there won't be a next time). Honestly, my kids's haircut was really good and I was very pleased with the results. I just won't go back because of their lack of tact.

So far, so good! I have taken my 2 year old there once, and I will admit - -they were amazing with him! Abir did exactly what I wanted, and my son was smitten with sitting in the rocketship while watching Thomas the Train. I would have to disagree with the previous review stating that it was dirty. It wasn't, at least when I was there. It was not busy at all on a Friday afternoon, which was slightly shocking since I had to leave a message to schedule an appointment. The only thing that would make me give them 5 stars would be if they accepted walk-ins.

We have been going to this place for a while because my son loves sitting in the cars but let's just be honest - the stylists are sub par and the place is a little dirty/grimy. Used to go to Pigtails & Crewcuts & preferred it - much cleaner & they only take walk-ins. Divas & Dudes turn away walk-ins!! Completely crazy-I'm sure other moms can relate that you never know what your day will bring & if you happen to be in the area and have a little extra time you think maybe you can squeeze in a haircut...not here! They turned my crying three year old away while a stylist was sitting doing nothing at the desk! I will not be going back. They aren't child or mommy friendly. I'll just wait for Pigtails & Crewcuts to reopen or drive to Glen Allen. Silly policy!! Kids place that doesn't take walk-ins.

Worst Experience I have EVER had at a haircut salon. My child was turned away because we were 6 minutes late for our haircut apt. I had read other reviews that they had turned people away, but didn't think that could happen to me. It can happen. They were NOT willing to work with me to fit him in - we even told them we were willing to wait up to an hour. They basically told me they wouldn't cut his hair and we needed to leave and reschedule. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone. Their customer service was the WORST I have ever seen and received from any business I have ever worked with. The owner should be ashamed at how the employees handle and talk to their customers. If you are even a touch late (and face it, anyone and everyone with kids sometimes runs late) you will be turned away and treated very poorly with no customer respect.

Fantastic! The prices are well worth it. I found the girls here to be very patient with my wiggly little boy. They also know how to do little boy cuts perfect. I'v moved from the area and I miss this place so much. I haven't been able to find any one who can cut my son's hair the way I want it. I'm picky. The DVDs were great and they were fast to see us!

I found this salon online and their website is incredible. I walked in and they took us right away! The kids cars all work, dvds with excellent movie selection. My little girl had her first haircut and they print up a photo, with a lock of hair, dated and ready for scrapbook or framing! You have to visit this place, but I'll warn you there's a lot of toys for sale, all cheap and an ice cream place real close! Use either as a bribe to get little one to sit still!
