Hi, im Tim. I recently made the HUGE & very costly mistake of going to The Bike Stop to have a new component group put on my Trek Madone. As a result, I was ripped off blind & lied to for my patronage!! First, they tried to tell me that it was expensive because my bike has internal routing. Which it doesn't. And worse, I was told that I HAD to purchase a whole new back wheel, because mine didn't fit 11speed. Also, the " Head Mechanic", from what the work done on my bike resulted in, DOES NOT DESERVE THAT TITLE! Told me that the insane amount of chain rub I was getting, at the time, and later the next day, in other gears as well, that's normal. Well, Bike Stop Staff, I have some words for you....I DONT THINK SO!!!!!! I did take my bike to the Trek Store in Scherrillville, & they had to do some work, but now my Madone performs with its new Dura-Ace like it should. No delayed shifts,,("MR. HEAD MECHANIC") NO RUB!! I also found out that the hub body WAS switchable 10 to 11speed. And The Trek Store would have only charged about half of what the bike stop robbed me for. Then I when I called about my non internal routing, that gee, I dunno, the " head mechanic" might have noticed while he was poorly putting my bike together, I was insulted with only a $50 refund. If you want to stay in business that darn bad, do better work, & do it honestly. Shops like yours are why I deal mostly online anymore. What really gets me, is you knowingly did this to a Disabled Vet!!! Never again!!!
