A La Mode Hair Studio

I love A La Mode. I first found Mari when I moved to Miami Lakes from Los Angeles two years ago. I have been seeing her regularly (every 6 weeks or so) ever since. She always gives me a great cut and has made some suggestions on color and highlights that I never would have done on my own...and I have loved each one. She does great work with any length of hair; mine is very short, but I have seen her work with other clients. The nail and waxing services by Vanessa are also top notch. I am so glad I stumbled onto this gem. It's nice to have consistent service with the same stylist over time. Back in L.A. the turnover rates at my other local salons was so ridiculous I almost never had the same person twice. At A La Mode I feel like an actual client, not just a head of hair.

One word to explain the service here. Terrible. I had my hair cut and styled a month ago there. The hair stylish and I discussed the hair color I would like to change it to as well as the price. Her tone of voice was very nice but she was asking me a lot of personal questions, which was fine, I thought she was just trying to make conversation. I decided to make another appointment for the color change. I got there 2 mins before my appointment time. She was on the back and took around 10 mins to attend me, that was fine. She comes out with a very different tone of voice and even speaking to me Spanish when she's always spoke to me in English since she knew I understand it better. Well we talked about the color and told her before she mixed the color we agreed on $70 last time. She said not even if she was drunk would she tell me $70. That it cost $150 for the color change. My hair is medium length and straight. This lady is insane! All I can think of is Bipolar. Either that or she saw the car I came with and decided to charge me on how much money she thinks I have. I parked in front of the salon and she saw it. She then told me she couldn't and wouldn't do my hair because I went to the wrong place. They don't do crappy jobs for crappy prices is that she told me, that they are expensive for a reason. Wow I really am shocked. I had my 2 kids with me while she bashed me out and basically kicked me out. Never will go there again. This lady is a bipolar and money hungry. No way will I pay $150 when I was told $70 last time. If you want a fake hair stylish who lies and acts bipolar go there.
