Today I had an excellent exper...

Today I had an excellent experience with this cool store. Their prices are really competitive, and they have some really cool stuff. So last week I purchased a Cat Tower, but my cat did not even look at it. There I was stuck with a bulky cat tower, that I had no further use for. Today I went back to Steelz, and explained the situation. Even though they have a no return policy for functioning merchandise (as it clearly stated on my receipt) I was able to get a store-credit, and walked out of the store with 3 other cool items that I have a good use for in my household. They really try to keep customers happy. From their perspective they really have no recourse to return items to the Manufacturer, and as a small business that really hurts them if customers get buyer's remorse. Luckily they will be able to sell the cat tower again to somebody else who's cat is not so persnickety as ours.

Steelz is one of my favorite l...

Steelz is one of my favorite little shopping places in all of Boise area. It's always fun to browse through it to see what gems you can find. Last time I stopped by the store, practically everything was 20% off! Be aware that they have a 7 day return policy on most (if not all) of their products and I do believe they only offer store credit or exchange. In my own experience, they're really great to work with, particularly on returned items and I have witnessed that first hand. Go to Steelz! You'll love it!

It seems like the only time people leave review is when its about something bad.

but i on the other hand love this store i bought a 52" sony lcd 1080p 120hz tv for only 700 it was clearly a 1200+ plus tv and its still worth around that price and its been 3 years now.

bad customer service!

Scammers! Bought stuff at their store and they wouldn't give a refund. Got in store credit. I used my I store credit but my card was charged double. Its been a couple of months now and! I still haven't received a refund. When I call no one calls back. Their thieves!!!

It is not possible to charge any of our customers twice for the same goods, on the same visit, without two signatures. If receipt is presented with proof of being double charged Steelz will be more than happy to refund extra charge.

I purchased a rug at this stor...

I purchased a rug at this store on 4/22/2011 at 4:46 pm and went to return it on 4/28/2011 at 3.35pm with all tags still attached, the rug didn’t work when I got it home and it smelled like dog urine when I unrolled it. The store told me that they do not take returns and everything is sold as is. However, Steelz receipt says

“RETURN POLICY: We want you to be satisfied with your purchases, but we reserve the right to refuse the return of any item at our discretion. Keep your receipt for all returns”

Steelz website states “We want you to be satisfied with your purchases and will gladly accept returns however we reserve the right to refuse the return of any item at our discretion. Keep receipt for all returns. Unfortunately we do not cover the cost of shipping unwanted items back to us…..We are happy to replace, exchange, credit or refund - the choice is yours.”

They DO NOT take returns and I was told that is why they have the statement that they can refuse a return. I also asked for in-store credit so they didn’t have to refund money and again I was told that “all sales are final and we will not return an item just because you don’t like it when you get it home. That is why our prices are low” This was the second time I bought at this store and have spent hundreds of dollars there. This is the first time I ever tried to return anything!

Steelz should not post this return policy on their web page or print this on their receipt if they have no intention of following it. Steelz falls back on the statement that they reserve the right to refuse a return, to never have to take back a thing! Just another example of a business that says whatever they need to make a sale! If this store is an as is store like they just told me, they need to advertise it that way and stop being dishonest just to make a sale!

Again I DID ASK FOR A CREDIT, and I was told that “all sales are final and we will not return an item just because you don’t like it when you get it home. That is why our prices are low” I talked to a lady, who then turned around and told you what I wanted. You said no and when I asked for a credit and quoted what your website said, you shook your head no and rudely walked away. You were helpful when you wanted to make the sale, but when I came back to return it, you couldn’t even be bothered. I think it’s funny that you can reply to this post and act like you remember the situation and who I am, but I guarantee you have no idea and couldn’t even tell me what rug I am talking about! Is it just a coincidence that multiple customers have the same complaint? Your website says “We are happy to replace, exchange, credit or refund - the choice is yours.” Obviously that is not true. If you’re going to reply to complaints, please at least know the situation and not make something up just to save face!

In store credit was offered to this customer and was declined. Customer was adamant regarding a cash refund. Review was discovered today.
