I started taking horse riding lessons with Tricia in June 2015. I had a bad experience seven years ago when I was riding horses in Brooklyn, NY. Therefore, I have not been riding horses for a long time. Nevertheless, I decided to start riding again. When I met Tricia, I asked her to put me on a nice and slow horse, so that I could regain my confidence. Tricia immediately thought of a horse that would work for me. I have been riding that horse for several months now, and I love him. I absolutely love Tricia's teaching. She cares about my constant improvement, but NEVER pushes me to do more than I can handle physically and mentally at that moment or at that lesson. Tricia's eyes are always on me, and she gives me instant advice on how to handle a horse in a specific situation. I always wanted to find a trainer who could tell me what to do right on the spot because my former trainers in Brooklyn were lacking teaching skills. Therefore, I am extremely thankful and happy to find Tricia; a trainer whom I can trust completely. Tricia has taught me a lot! Now I am trotting (posting and sitting English riding style) and learning how to canter. Tricia also taught me how to saddle the horse and put the bridle on. I like getting a horse ready for a ride. It is a lot of fun. I am always looking forward to my next lesson with Tricia. She has become my mentor and friend. I would recommend taking ridding lessons from Tricia to anyone.

Arabians West has been very helpful to me. After a few bad experiences with horses I made the decision to take some riding lessons to try to get beyond me horse-fear. I have had two different instructors while there. They have both been great, giving me the opportunity to learn both English and Western style. Marie-Anne and Tricia are honest, safe, trust-worthy instructors. I have learned a great deal from both of them and have gained the confidence I needed to enjoy horses again. I recommend Arabians West with no hesitation.

Arabians west is a working ranch with instructors that also have degrees in education and other fields and use those acquired skills and their horse experiences to provide horse instruction to a vast variety of students: some of whom might have a disability, beginners who may be young and beginners who may not be so young; and the student of any age who wants to learn and grow. I have done business with Arabians West for many years and I find the experience meets my needs in the horse world. Trisha is one of the best horsewomen I have met. She respects the horse and student, always with an eye on safety. Go out on a Saturday morning and see for yourself!

Absolutely love taking lessons here. Tricia has been so patient with my daughter and I and always goes the extra mile. She has become a personal friend in the process. The horse environment is wonderful. I would highly recommend them for boarding, training, or lessons. They take great care of horse and owner. They have so many options available. My daughter also was able to use her time here for her senior project. We will continue with lessons and one day own our own horse and this is where we will board.

Terrible place for beginning riders.... Trainer is late all the time, reprimands her students in a way that should NEVER be spoken to ANYONE and is absurdly aggressive with the horses. As a horse lover and growing up around them I would NEVER want my kids thinking it's #1 NEVER ok to let someone treat you like that and #2 that it's NEVER ok to be extremely rough with animals.

Just ran into a friend that had the same experience with them and they went to Kaisen and love them. We went to Serenity Stables in caldwell and loved them.

I have worked with Arabians West for 6 years now. Helen has been an unbelievable help to me and my mare. I purchased my mare from Arabians West and this last year bred my mare to her stallion Diammond Jim. I could not have had such and amazing colt or mare of it were not for Helen's advise and help along the way. She always calls me back, makes sure I have the information I need to make the best decision for my horses, even now that I moved away. She cared for my mare and bred her for me while I was in Montana for a year. An indispensable resource she has been to me, and I loved our time boarding at Arabians West. If we ever move back we will board at Arabians West. The next horse I buy will be from Helen. She matched me up with my first horse and helped me pick the stallion to breed to my mare. They have been absolutely perfect for me. I could not say enough good things about the trainers and boarders, mostly Helen at Arabians West.
