Mike's Affordable Appliance Repair

The tensioner pulley in our dryer broke one week before Christmas, on a Saturday night, worst possible time ever! We called Sunday morning to find out if they could come out, they were booked up for the day, but said someone could come out in a couple hours. The owner, Mike, came out and fixed it in no time, even cleaning out a pump for us on our washer! Mike took a ton of pressure off at such a busy time, and the fee for a Sunday service call was very reasonable! Would definitely recommend them!

My freezer was not freezing, but my fridge was working. Mike came out and installed a new fan. The next day the fridge was not getting cold. I called Mike he said let the fridge thaw out. Still didn't work. I called numerous times, no answer. I called again 5days before my warranty is up and I finally got an answer. The lady said she was going to call me back. She never called back. I called the next day, no answer again. So I been sitting here all day calling, no answer or I couldn't leave a voice mail. Terrible customer service..

DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS! I believe that every good review on here is fake. Their service is horrible. My freezer door was broke and the called me the day before appointment and tried to cancel because owner/repair guy was going on vacation. They told me to clean out my freezer, that maybe it was the ice, causing the door to give me problems...um- do they think I'm a moron? I know when my freezer door is broke/compared to ice hindering it. They came out- made it worse- said they'd have to order parts and they would call me that night with estimate. They took their $29.95 and I never got a call. I called them- they didn't answer. I finally called them 4 days later off a different cell phone I have and they answered and LIED and said that someone had tried to call me and my parts on my freezer would be 800.00 + to fix!!!!! Can you believe this? Save yourself your 30.00 and your time and call someone who is professional.

Very courteous, knowledgeable and professional ! I scheduled an appointment for the day after and called and they could've came the day of the call. My dryer wasn't working. Mike the owner told me about some minor things it could be and how to check them first. I did and I fixed my dryer myself. He saved me money! He genuinely cares about his customers! Really bad service. I waited all day for the tech to come out. The service desk said they would call to come out but with no specific time. I waited all day for the call. When I called in to check they said they couldn't come at all. A big waste of time! Unreliable company!!! Beware!

The owner mike came and services our fridge. Time was prompt,and the service was professional. I would recommend him!

Called MJM to repair my dryer and was stunned when they said they would come out on a Sunday! Who comes out on a Sunday, and not charge you extra to do it either? These guys do! And, as other people have stated here, they are friendly, they KNOW what they are doing, and their prices are very fair. The experience was more like having old friends over rather than a repair job; it was THAT comfortable. Needless to say, my 18-year dryer runs better now than it has in years and, you can bet, that if another appliance goes in my house, MJM will be the first number I call!

I have had MJM to my house twice now for my washer and dryer. They are prompt, educated in their field, and polite. For my dryer a part had to be ordered and as soon as it arrived they returned to install it. My parents had to be here as I was at work. They were so impressed that they have even used MJM and recommend them to others. If I need another repair they are first on my list!

Professional, helpful, extremely fair. I was very impressed with their service and warranties. My fridge was fixed and up and running in less than an hour. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family (have already).

These guys are prompt, courteous, professional, and honest. They will provide a fast and accurate diagnosis, at reasonable prices. A family owned business, both father and son share a rare talent for customer service, you should call them first.

I did not have a good experience with these guys. My fridge was not defrosting so I called them out to diagnose the problem. They are a father/son team who are nice enough, but their diagnosis was dead wrong. All he did was look at the frost build up on the back of my freezer and told me I needed new defrost heaters and defrost thermostat to the tune of about $240. He did not bother to examine or test any component or part. Didn't even take the back panel of the freezer off for a quick visual inspection.



I decided to fix it myself but unfortunatley I followed their lead and replaced the heaters and thermostat. The problem was NOT fixed. I educated myself a bit more and performed continuity tests on the old parts and they were perfectly good. So I learned a bit more (thank God for Google) and discovered that the problem was most likely the defrost timer, a part he never mentioned. I replaced it and the fridge was fixed. Had I not spent the money on the parts I didn't need, I would have fixed it for about $15 (the price of the timer).



Very curious what their response would have been had I paid them to fix my fridge and still had the same problem. I'll never know. I wish I had the $25 back I paid them for that diagnosis. But if you need an appliance fixed, in my opinion, look elsewhere.

Had great service from this company. They came out earlier than expected and fixed my dryer in a flash! Very reasonable with the price and I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Mike knows his repairs...he does good at his job. I called yesterday to schedule a repair on my dryer and was supposed to have it done. these guys are so petty that they refused the work based on a review i gave over a year ago! Mind you, that year old review was based on the fact that their new guy didn't show up to the appointment at all. They did come out the next day and take care of it. Mike even have me a break on the price cuz of the prior day. Now he won't give me service...how petty.

I called and scheduled a technician to come look at my washer. Appt was set between 9am and 1 pm. I called at 1250 pm to see where the technician was because he still hasn't showed up and the lady on the phone told me that he couldn't make it so my appt was moved to 1pm-4pm. I told her that I'm not going to sit at home all day waiting for the technician to maybe show up. I asked why no one called me earlier to say that the technician wasn't coming and she said "I don't know". No apology or nothing. Worst place ever, will never do business with them, and will never recommend them. You people suck.

They showed up on time. They were courteous. They fixed my oven for a lot less than what others have told me they paid for the same repair.



They answered all my questions. They even told me how the oven self clean mode can BURN OUT your oven and make things worse when they COULD have lied to me and could have told me to use the oven self clean all the time so they would have to come back and cost me even more in repairs, but they did not! They were HONEST!



I also wanted a quote on a new burner for the stove. They said they will look up the part number and see how much the cost for the burner was and get back to me later that same day. And exactly like the said they called me back later that same day with a quote for the new part! I told them my money is limited and they pretty much knew I could not afford the new part ah head of time, but they called me with a quote anyway. A new burner was NOT my prime reason for them coming out for the repair anyways. My oven not lighting was the reason why I called them and NOT the stove-top burner.



I myself will GLADLY use them again for appliance repairs and I would totally recommend them to a friend.

I will start by saying that their appointment setter is among the nicest, most considerete people I have dealt with in a long time. MJM told me that they would arrive between 1-3pm. I received a call at 12:35pm to let me know they were en route and they were knocking on my door at 1pm. Sr. & Jr. were very professional and courteous. They got right to work and completed my repair in a matter of minutes. I had to come home from work during my lunch to meet MJM for this appointment and I was still back to work early. I can't say enough to recommend this outstanding father and son team. He is a Michigan man, as he stands by his word and his work. I highly, highly recommend you not waste any more time searching for a company to fix your appliance. You've found them!
