this place is rude and lied to waste money no one has, just to say that he has to go in rehab anyway(my brother in law) he ask for pain meds and takes 2 hours to get it if he was due by 4 he would get at 6,they are never on time.and rudeness is first name for them, they are lazy and makes fun of people.

I am black and my friend is hispanic and both of us interviewed for IT positions at the Rockledge Location and were denied employment even though we both have many recent IT Certifications. Wuesthoff Health Systems is Racist...period. The IT Director participated in the interview and he could barely walk since he is so FAT. He was eating a donut during the inteview as well and this was disgusting. Horrible experience to say the least.

Overall

Our dear friend was taken to Wuesthoff by ambulance after a fall. She broke her hip and needed hip surgery. She was given surgery the afternoon of the next day. When she woke up in the recovery room, the first thing she complained of was severe stomach pains. They put her in Intensive Care and told us it was so she would get extra care considering her age (78).She complained all evening of her stomach and was sedated. We went home to rest about 10:30 that evening and came back in the morning. The day nurse was horrible and let her moan without giving her relief. My wife would tell the nurse, "it's time for her pain medications" and the nurse ignored it and it would be an hour and a half before she would get any relief. It was few and far between before we saw a doctor. That evening the night time nurse came in who had cared for her the night before. She told us that our friend had thrown up a substance that shouldn't have come from her stomach but from her bowels and that she needed to have her stomach pumped to remove it so it wouldn't get into her blood stream. This was nearly 24 hours after she had thrown up. The day nurse and the brief visit from the doctor that day never mentioned any of this to us. That night her vitals went off the chart and she was put on a breathing machine. The next morning they mentioned that she should have a dialysis machine to clean out her blood. It took them most of the day before she was hooked up, she was in a drug induced coma by then. The next day she died from septic blood poisoning after a routine surgery. A doctor came by that practices at 3-4 hospitals in the area took my wife aside and said "you know, this was the wrong place to take her to get the care she needed". My wife replied "where were you 3 days ago?". I believe that if they had acted on her sooner she would still be with us. They didn't share important facts to us the next day (after she had thrown up septic) and waited so long it was flowing through her blood before acting. I wouldn't wish this hospital on my worst enemy. Down the road is Holmes Regional and there are others in the area but think twice before using Wuestoff.
