All my pets have been in the care of the Animal Care Hospital of Matthews for approx. 17 years and have always received great care from the Vets and the staff. We had some health problems with our different pets and we always felt that we received excellent information in ways to treat them ... and also in the treatment ....... Good caring place for your pets......

I have taken my dogs to Dr. Rutowski and his team for more than 13 years, and have been very pleased with the care and treatment provided to my dogs. The staff members are both knowledgeable and compassionate. I won't let my dogs board anywhere else, as I know they're safe and caring hands.

Notably good service experience

We have been going to Animal Care Hospital of Matthews for 5 years now and have had uniformly good experiences with them. We have two large breed dogs and have been happy with the treatment they have received. Additionally, this hospital is about the only one in the area that I know of that will treat my daughter's guinea pig. He leapt from my daughter's hand one day and broke his leg. Dr. Gail actually set it and splinted it. It had to be the funniest thing I have ever seen. In response to an earlier reviewer: My chessie had bad ear infections also that were not initially responding to treatment. The vet thought they may be due to an allergic reaction to his food, luckily, the antibiotics eventually cleared them up before we went on an allergy diet. By the way: I checked several online sources and discovered that food allergies can and do cause ear infections in dogs. I guess being a paramedic doesn't make you qualified to diagnose allergies in canines..

They took excellent care of my cat for 15 yrs. I have 2 new kittens and wouldn't take them anywhere else. They are very compassionate, caring, and knowledgable.

Won't go back, ever.

I have had Goldens for over 15 years, and I am a retired Paramedic. The Vet diagnosed my Golden's ear infection as and allergy and told me to change dog food. I can't believe it myself. I walked out on her. And yes, it really was an ear infection.
